I think it would be perfect to try and terraform the planet now. It has some water so lets heat it up the way we are here. lets melt mars' glaciers
and put our own micro biology into the waters. throw down some seeds and lets see what grows. We probably could warm the atmosphere but i think i've
herd from the powers that be that the core of the planet is no longer magma but cold and solid. probably not suitable for such a project.

Well this is interesting. Melt all that water artificially and you could create a chain reaction of life. On the other hand, the water could just
all freeze again, being that mars is too far away from the sun to keep the water in it's liquid state. So I dont think we're going to see an
artificial atmosphere on Mars anytime soon.
But for "bio domes" or such, this makes the planning of such a colony that much easier.
The possibilities for finding some life of a sort in all that water is definitely interesting too. It seems like not a month goes past lately without
some massive discovery being made from mars. How have these glaciers escaped our attention until now? And what will the next discovery be?

The other implication is:
Water + Solar Energy + Catalists = Hydrogen Peroxide.
They can make Hydrogen Peroxide *ON MARS* to use as a fuel to return back to earth.
Not to mention using that fuel to also heat, grow crops, and create electricity in a liquid storage medium.
Water isn't just for drinking.

I'd venture to say that this is old news, and further more that we already have a colony on mars and have for quite some time now.

Prove it, or at least back it up with a solid bread crumb of evidence.
I may be harshly stern, but that's only because my BS meter is getting tired.

Water was found on Mars by Odyssey back in 2001 and found alot of it. The current Phoenix probe is also finding interesting things about this water
ice near the surface, scooping up some of it and watching it turn into liquid water at certian times of the Martian day, then evaporating.
Which means that if enough of it is exposed to the Martian air, perhaps it could regenerate the oxygen content of the atmosphere and begin to warm up
the planet.
In any case, there is water in them there deserts of Mars...plenty of it too.
Cheers!!!!!

pffftt.. I've seen it already. Arnold's really a double agent and saves the oppressed mutants from the corporate villains by starting the alien
reactor and melting the ice.

Puzzling surface features above the glaciers, such as sloping deposits of rock near larger mountains, were first noticed by NASA's Viking
orbiters in the 1970s. Some experts thought they represented rocky debris made slippery by tiny bits of ice mixed with dirt. But recent studies of
buried glaciers on Antarctica, which look markedly similar, support the buried glacier HYPOTHESIS. Please visit the link provided for the complete story.
First of all, ALL OF THIS IS ONLY A THEORY, they do not actually know that this is a structure of a glacier. It could be anything that makes similar
surfaces. Until they actually go to mars, and drill into the surface, they will not KNOW if it is a glacier or not.
Don't get your hopes up yet. This is only an evolutionist's dream and not a fact! There is a lot to do before they can actually start drilling
through mars' surface. And, until the day they are able to Annalise the material under the mars surface they have no proof of anything.
It would be nice to go to mars, but I think we need to focus on many more important issues before we take those issues to another planet!
There is the fact that Jesus will be coming to rule for 1,000 years; and I believe, as well as many others, that scientific space travel will not
advance that far until Jesus comes to rule the earth.
I believe that during Jesus' reign that scientific research will reach levels none of us could have ever dreamed possible! During Jesus' reign He
will advance ANYTHING that is adventurous, exciting, and for the benefit of all humanity.
We may be able to drill into Mars' surface before Jesus comes, but will there be technology to get those samples back to the Earth? I hope so, but
again I am not hoping in mankind, I AM HOPING IN JESUS' REIGN, AND REIGNING WITH HIM FOR 1,000 YEARS!

Hasn't anyone yet figured out the significance???
Well before Man evolved on Earth, Mars likely had a similar biosphere.
This implies a full possible range of extinct lifeforms, on Mars...likely some fossilized.
When you factor in this new knowlege, of massive underground frozen water deposits on Mars, it should lead intelligent people to the conclusion that
the planet WAS, once, conducive to life. And, therefore, might still be, just not on a scale we're used to.
Carrying on...IF the atmosphere were sufficiently thickened, THEN liquid water could exist on the surface of Mars...and a second 'earth' could be
created....a potential 'haven' for our species.
Of course, if you let the Bushes and Cheneys in, they'll screw it up before ya' know it!!!

The discovery, made using ground-penetrating radar on NASA's Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter, offers new possibilities in the search for life on the red
planet.
"If there is life on Mars, this kind of ice would likely preserve ancient organisms and DNA," researcher Jim Head, a planetary geoscientist at Brown
University, told Wired.com. "Examining the water ice could give you a good sample to try to detect if there had been life there."
This is another amazing step towards colonizing Mars!

indeed it is,if our technological progress hadnt been sabotauged by our own future we would already have colonized mars with the anti grav.free energy
and whatnot they constantly cover up.
we are prisoners.
its often asked, where are all the flying cars ,robots and such, where is the future?,its already here and there holding ours back.

welive,
Based on your Screen Name, and based on you latest post on this thread....what would YOU suggest we all do???
Before you answer, let me tell yo what I think we should do....
We, as Humans, United from one Planet, should realize that our fortunes --- indeed, our very survival as a species require that we work together as
one species, from THIS planet. NOT to impose our will on any other species that we happen to encounter, but to continue a gesture of goodwill, at
every opportunity.
However, before we venture into that vast unkown, we should take of our own house, here at home.
I'm not saying this cannot be a two-pronged approach, because it should be.
The time will come, and it will come sooner rather than later, that Humanity will spread, and we MUST be ready! We MUST solve our differences HERE,
before we attempt to meet others in the local area....our 'local' region, which likely encompasses a 95-210 LY radius, just for starters.....AND
this is just our LOCAL area!!!!
Our Galaxy is roughly 100,000 LY accross. We have a long way to travel, to see it all.......
