BUT what about looks --is it possible to have "looks" intelligence? Is that part of the whole "people intelligence" part? Some people
know how to make themselves and others look better OR if they are just plain naturally beautiful.....does that fit in somehow?
I would think that looks smart would be spatial, being able to do make up would be to make a face look more symmetrical. That would fall in
artistic, 3d thinking. People smarts for knowing what is "in" or popular or what looks good on people. watching popular hairstyles, memorizing the
"look". To recognize what is beautiful and what is not. Body smarts for knowing how to present the body in the most flattering way. ??? creativity
for putting new things together. Color knowledge.
edited to appear more word smart...again.

Fantastic topic! In this vein I would like to point out why I think SETI efforts are doomed to failure. Even SETI has stated the EM emissions from
Earth are greatly diffused after only 2.5 light years. Alpha Centauri could be broadcasting their version of the "leave it to beaver" and we would
never know. Also we make the assumption that an intelligent species must be a technological species. Thats because we always use ourselves as the
measuring stick to judge others. Unless "they" can invent their version of a "Ginzoo Knife"and of course patent it, they cant be an intelligent
race. Well gang, I think thats crap.
Consider our world. We know without a shadow of a doubt certain sea creatures, who live in the oceans with its small variable's of temp, and
chemistry, we know whales, dolphins, etc, have had a mind numbing acoustic language going back at least ten million years. I think the whales,
dolphin, have had the great luxury not needing to stand before the tax people who foot the bills. I think the math alone of what they think, what they
figure out, is very valuable to us. So to contact intelligent ET's who fall into this catagory, we need to bring the mountain to Mohamed. .

I've seen very stylish people who are not "beautiful" or even "pretty" by the common standards. It makes them attractive plus a great
personality.
Thanks for that, I should let him read it, but I have told him this stuff a bunch of times.
Not that he was smart to marry me though.... I apologize for that often...heh.

interesting, telepathy.... what other forms of communication are there and what type of intelligence does it require? Reading body language
would be people smart... animal smarts, is that the same thing, or does that fall in nature smart? we are part of nature... human nature.

Telepathy takes empathy, empathy takes people smarts and belief it can be done.
Curious to know do you have "gifts" seagrass.....i think it is a part of intelligence's basic package......I am very open to telepathy to those
that I love and rarely others if I focus really hard. I also can see/touch people and feel/know where they hurt sometimes (I am a dr.
btw)....sometimes energy transferrance occurs and I get the patient's symptoms....they heal and I feel like crap for a few days (and I am not talking
colds)--headaches, cancer, back pain, etc.....

colds)--headaches, cancer, back pain, etc..... I do, but nothing I can count on. Comes in a flash, and gone. Enough to make it due to
coincidence. And yet, you wonder. I have experienced it many times. I have also said I can sense emotion in others who I am not even watching. I think
I also am very good at body language because I had to learn to understand people I didn't. My family being different and seemingly more "powerful",
I watched closely. I am a watcher. I pay attention to people. I have gifts in people skills. Although I am creative, I tend to do better there. I
majored in art in college, and failed miserably. But when I changed to psychology I couldn't fail. I could guess and get the right answers. I got the
attention of my professors. I did well in my internship, but by the time I had graduated, I wanted no more of it. Burned out. I have always been the
one people come to with their problems, but I don't want to follow the "structured rules" of a license. To become a doctor or counselor. I think in
a weird way, that I have had my experiences in pain and suffering, because I will meet someone along the way, and it will have been useful for them.
Almost like I take courses in real life to be able to answer questions when they come up.
I also don't want to be paid for it.
I am always in tune to people.. so I spend a lot of time alone. There are times when I am "materialistic" because things aren't as much of a
"noise" than people. My creativity is therapy, and I love decorating and making places better. That I allow myself to be paid for.

Interesting that you would "get sick" as if to allow you to empathize with your patients. Or to feel pain in order to heal. Almost as if you have
communication with your physical body. I don't have that. In fact I am one of those people who can't figure out what they might have ate that made
them sick, or what could have caused this or that. I tend to ignore my body. I don't even like food that much. It is something I have to do, as
opposed to enjoy. People think I'm weird when I say I don't like chewing...
I also don't have great hand eye coordination. and typing is a real biotch for me.
I love sleeping. I always wait too long to go to the bathroom.... I think I try to be a "floating head".. so to speak..
I wonder if anyone relates to that?

I also think that lying has been a real problem for me, because my family has secrets. They would say one thing, but I would sense something
different. I was confused a lot growing up and I wanted to find out the truth. I don't always trust my instincts and I have learned to trust them the
hard way. I say "I was right!" a lot when it comes to people. I studied Astrology for years to find that truth. It has a special place in my heart.

I have a good friend that is extremely "book smart." He knows everything you ask him. Although he is smart in such areas he has no common sense
what-so-ever. He is also one of the most arrogant and pompous people I know.
I also know of another Intelligence that I think we would all find quite Interesting. It is called fluid intelligence. It can be defined as:
" little to do with IQ or "book" intelligence. It is rather the ability to step outside of our beliefs and consider information which does not
fit into our previously accepted view of reality."
There is also "Static Intelligence," which is the opposite of fluid Intelligence.
"Static Intelligence can be defined as: "an idividual that is rarely willing to reconsider or challenge their established beliefs, are said to have
static intelligence. They are rarely willing to think outside of the box."
I thought this was interesting as most of us would have "Fluid Intelligence," but to keep us in check there are the ones with "Static
Intelligence."

interesting, I have experienced it, but never knew it had a name... To me it was imaginative or stubborn.
And I know someone just like that. The pompous part is what I consider to be a social problem caused by not being people smart at the same time as
"book" smart. That looks like insecurity and social anxiety covered up by false-arrogance.

and the ability to entertain multiple perspectives.

artificial intelligence
two types...
Weak A.I. refers to technology that is able to manipulate predetermined rules and apply the rules to reach a well-defined goal (Bethell, 2006). This
type of A.I. is presently incorporated into society, especially in large industries. Assembly lines, for example utilize programs that allow machines
to work independently of their operator for hours on end (Bethell, 2006). Voice recognition software is also considered a large part of artificial
intelligence (Bethell, 2006).
The second form of artificial intelligence is strong A.I. Strong A.I. refers to technology that has the ability to think cognitively or is able to
function in a way similar to the human brain
This may be the only way we are going to communicate with whales or dolphins. and other forms of life. I would be fun to be able to communicate with
a plant.

wiki~
Collective intelligence is a shared or group intelligence that emerges from the collaboration and competition of many individuals. Collective
intelligence appears in a wide variety of forms of consensus decision making in bacteria, animals, humans, and computer networks. The study of
collective intelligence may properly be considered a subfield of sociology, of business, of computer science, of mass communications and of mass
behavior—a field that studies collective behavior from the level of quarks to the level of bacterial, plant, animal, and human societies.
