leading up to the inauguration
Obama & the staff will appoint most every position with a person that has already done a tour of duty....

the 'change, change, more change...' promise,
comes midway in the first 4 yr term, as the people that can't abide with BHOs policy/doctrines, are asked to resign

there are 21st century Gobbels', Speers', and Kissinger clones out there waiting for their turn when given the opportunity.... starting midway in his first term You will get you promised "changes" with people that followed the ayers & malcom X models for society

have fun in the meanwhile...

CNN, MSNBC, LA Times, NY Times are not the liberal press... far from it... they are the mainstream media owned and operated by large conservative corporations.

Try In These Times.... Mother Jones... Utne Reader... alternet.org... commondreams.org American Prospect... the Progressive... etc.

And I doubt that Obama's people read those either but they are by far more a liberal press and voice for us progressives than any of the ones you mentioned are.

I doubt anyone outside the far left "progressives" you hang with would agree with your assessment above. Chris Matthews, Keith Olbermann, etc., etc.

OK. I will when I need something to scare me awake and there are no good scary movies on.

The delusion comes from listening to way too much mush loosebowels... reading way too much ann coulter and watching way too much sean hannity.

After awhile such tripe sinks into the brain and people actually start believing the crap those idiots spew about their fellow citizens who if truth be told love their country just as much as everyone else does and wants to see it do well.

Obama Campaign Finance Chair and now probable Secretary of Commerce – Penny Pritzker

(The MSM says she is being considered for Secretary of Commerce)

She owes the Federal Government nearly a half billion dollars in restitution for her seized Superior Bank in Illinois. (she was given 15 years to pay in 2001) The Pritzkers are billionaires and owners of the Superior Bank in Hinsdale, Illinois. Or they were owners until it was seized. Her sub prime lending bank failed in 2001.

Press Release

At the time of this seizure, it was determined that Penny Pritzker and her family owed $460,000,000 to the Federal Government.

NY Times

FDIC

Treasure Document

Penny Pritzker biography

LOVELY. A failed subprime mortgage lender who owes the gov't a half billion dollars. Yep. Change we can believe in.

Ya know the funny thing is, I caught my son listening to hannity. I asked him about it and he said he thought hannity was a comedian, because no one could actually believe all the funny stuff he says.

I laughed so hard I fell off my chair.

I know a couple guys who listen to mush loosebowels all the time, every day and I swear you can see their heads shrinking. Must be voodoo.

A few years back when mush was being outed as a big fat hypocritical junkie and had announced that he was going into rehab... one of the local news stations went around asking people what they thought... one guy said that he listened to mush every day and now he didn't know what to think.

I personally wouldn't have admitted that in public.

First off we are not Obamtrons as you call us. We are not robots, sheeple or any other smear you chose to throw at us... we are fellow citizens who are concerned about our country.

Concerned about your country? Really? I don't think so, and here's why:

You voted for a man who has promised to cut military spending at a time when foreign relations are needed most? There are pirates seizing ships left and right off the coast of Africa and the only thing that will help stop it is a unified military strike aginst them. Oh and let's not forget about Iran. They now say they have enough nuclear material to make a bomb. Nice huh?

You've voted for a man who says he will nationalize an entire country's health care system when the same model was recently shown to fail in just seven months in Hawaii.

You voted for the man who flip flopped on oil drilling so many times that he can't make up his mind on it. Now he wants to invest over a trillion dollars over 10 years on renewable sources of energy with no guaranteed results as to jobs, profits or electricity payoffs. If we started drilling for oil right now on our OWN land, we could put to work tens of thousands of Americans AND take those first steps toward energy independence.

What about his hesitancy to building nuclear reactors? Now many jobs will that cost? What about his disdain of the coal industry, including clean coal? How many jobs will that cost?

What about his tax cuts? You've elected a man who wants to increase corporate taxes at a time when the nation is headed into a depression. What should be happening is taxes should be lowered to encourage the creation of new jobs now that we are at 6.5% unemployment. Higher taxes are going to encourage corporations to further outsource their employment operations.

You say you're concerned about your country??? I say you're concerned about YOU and not about the rest of America. You're concerned about getting Bush out of the White House and your vote for the above speaks loud and clear.

Second: our support for him has far less to do with bush minor and more about the direction Republicans and their policies have taken this country than anything else.

So again, you're joining the throngs of liberals who are blaming all of the nations problems on Republicans, eh? The last two years of a Congressional Democratic majority had nothing to contribute to the downturn of our nation's economy? 9/11 had nothing to do with screwing the U.S. up either right? It was all the fault of the Republicans. Yeah.

Third: The Liberal/progressive press (and not the mainstream media of your fantasies) and us liberals and progressives in general are not going to spend the next 4 years or more trying to justify his policies like the conservative/Republican press has done. If we don't like the direction he is going we will tell him and make it known.

And risk squashing the royalties from their multi-million dollar documentary/movie/tv show deals about the life and times of Obama that were made? I seriously doubt it! Money speaks louder than loyalty.

Don't believe me? Go to some of the liberal/progressive websites like alternet.org or
inthesetimes.com or motherjones.com they are already criticizing him for some of his picks and policy changes even before he's been sworn in.

When did those sites qualify as Mainstream Media?

We will hold his feet to the fire if need be and if need be abandon him next election cycle.

ROFLMAO!!! I seriously doubt that. But like I said, you'll get plenty of chances to prove that statement correct.

Conflicts with what is being said on TV. Time will tell.
I hope to GOD she isn't expanding her role.
It's bad enough that Obama had her in the position that he did.

Funny - she's part of the subprime problem that's destroying the economy of this country and she owes half a billion $$ to the gov't but she still has the audacity to say this -

"Speculation has grown that I am a candidate for Secretary of Commerce. I am not. I think I can best serve our nation in my current capacity: building businesses, creating jobs and working to strengthen our economy,"

Working to strengthen the economy?? How? By paying the half billion she owes and by her getting the hell out of the economic business? She's done this country a world of hurt already.

One thing is for certain, the rumors circulating prior to the election stating that Barack Obama is the new "Messiah" have proven to be correct. With the selection of Tom Daschale, Mr. Obama has proven his ability to ressurect the dead. God bless him.

That's the kinda change I'm looking for.

Resurrect the dead - Tom Daschle.

Paraphrasing Larry the Cable Guy (a conservative prophet ):

I don't care who you are, now that's funny!

That pretty much sums up the differences between Obama supporters and you.

We agree that foreign relations are indeed a very high priority now. However, we believe that diplomacy is the tool of foreign relations, and that military has been abused as a tool of relations over the last 8 years.

And btw.. How dare you claim to assume we don't have our country's best interest at heart.

Even I will admit that Bush and Cheney honestly feel they are doing what is best for the country.

You see you can't determine something subjective through objective means. And you can't presume to know what any American Citizen feels. You only make yourself out to be an arrogant imbecile when you try.

Isn't it just as arrogant to assume that all of this nations problems are caused by Republicans? I believe you made that statement in your last reply. I consider myself a Republican because I believe in the conservative ideology and the Republicans are the closest entity aligned with conservatism. So aren't you are blaming me and everyone else who votes Republican for not doing what's best for the country when YOU make statements like that?

How is it all right for you to presume ignorance and not for anyone else?

Let cooler heads prevail.

Change is a broad term and Obama never really defined what he meant by change. Therefore we are all correct no matter which side of the coin you are on. So let's be peaceful about this and just lay out our points so we can see for ourselves how change is interpreted differently by many people.

And would you say diplomacy has worked thus far with Iran? So far no one has attacked them, but under no circumstances will they abandon their nuclear plan. Even Russia offered to supply them with nuclear reactors in the beginning of this crisis (because Iran said their intention was to supply the nation with electricity) and Iran turned them down. Today, the NY Times tells us that Iran has enough material, with further enrichment, to produce a bomb.

That's where diplomacy has gotten us so far.

And as for presuming whether a group of people have the best interests of this country at heart or not - I will presume all I want. You have to realize it's a matter of perspective. From my perspective, conservative ideologies are what this country needs to flourish and grow. I believe hard work should be rewarded and that you get nothing if you do nothing. I don't believe in working hard only to hand out my money to those who do nothing but expect a handout. That's the liberal ideology. And I believe it is NOT in the best interest of this country - so, anyone who votes to put that system of power into place does not have this country's best interests in mind.

You can flame me for presuming what's in the minds of others all you want. The truth is, we all do it, whether you care to admit it or not. The only difference is not everyone vocalizes it.
