When I see the phrase
War on terror, on any article, newspaper, thread, or newsflash.

Sorry for bumping the thread. But It's about time some American's wake up that this terminolgy is ludricous, hypocritical and stupid. There is no
sense or logic to that wording. The use of it, is purely to invoke fear into the masses, nothing more and nothing less. The generlization of it should
just be enough to tell you that.(shakes head)
It means, war on war, aggression against aggresser, react to the reactor.
It is one of the most stupid phrases I've ever come across in my 23 year existence. 8 year's of this nonsense. People still use the wording.
 Why, sometimes I just look up and just go why......
You know, getting over getting your panties in a bunch over "War on Terror" really doesn't have anything to do with Obama and gun laws.

black man"). Obama is right about one thing...."what is right for (the projects of) Chicago (like Cabrini Green) is not necessarily right for
Cheyenne (Wyoming)." I do like the alliteration also. Without sounding prejudiced or bigoted (not) maybe gun violence is a social (race) issue more
than a gun issue per se.

No man or woman on this earth has any right to tell me I can't protect myself or my family. Our right to bear arms makes this country special. It
was finally affirmed by the supreme court this year.
Who are you to say I'm childish for wanting to protect my God given right to freedom and liberty? The criminals will have weapons no matter what so
why restrict law abiding citizens? It only takes one mad leader to abuse his power and force the citizens to do his/her will. That would be kind of
hard with an armed nation. This is a nation that "should be" ruled by the people for the people. Instead we have slowly gravited to a federally
ruled nation. Our states powers have been stripped.
But back on topic, you have the right not to own a firearm. Don't infringe on my right to own a firearm. You can be a victim or a survivor. The
choice is yours but don't call me childish for wanting to protect what is mine.
There are many examples on a daily basis of criminals trying to take advantage of a lawful citizen. Just last week three men tried to perform a home
invasion not far from where I live. Ten family members where in the house. One of the criminals pulled his gun and shot a woman there. Fortunately
the home owner had a gun a killed one of the criminals. Fortunately the woman lived. And the world is rid of one scumbag that may hurt others.
My son was robbed in his apartment this year. He had a gun placed to his head. The guys got away and fortunately my son wasn't shot.
You can have all the gun laws you want and it won't stop the criminals. That is proven in state after state, and country after country.

GUNS WILL NEVER KEEP YOU SAFE. ALL HANDGUNS SHOULD BE ABOLISHED FROM CIVILIANS. HUNTING RIFLES ARE FINE FOR HUNTERS BUT NOT HANDGUNS.
Every other "civilized" society that abolished handguns has shown it works. They all have much, much lower percentages of gun related deaths per
capita then the US.
President Reagan was surrounded by the best, most well armed security force (Secret Service) in the world, including snipers mounted on building tops
with their weapons out and ready to shoot and even HE couldn't be protected from being shot. What the hell makes you even think that YOU owning a
handgun is gonna protect YOU from being shot????? This goes for President Kennedy too.
Anybody who argues we need guns for our protection is simply an idiot!!!
