Speaking of disappearing posts, I posted about 10 minutes ago asking why the guy in the video claims it's in MO and my post has disappeared.

Dunno, that's at least the third time it's happened to me in my time on ATS. Also, I didn't see a post on here by Springer so....who knows?

I think that the daytime shot COULD be the location where it was filmed from. However, it's not at the correct angle. Look at the lightpost in both
shots. One is almost facing perpendicular to the line-of-sight, the other is about 10º off of line-of-sight.
It's very interesting to me as well. One of the few things that popped into my mind as I watched it, was motorcycles or cars parked on a hill. The
red being the tail lights, the "smoke/fog" being the headlights casting on the ground while it slopes uphill.
Great vid tho!

agreed, we would need a day-time picture of the entire area, the road, cars etc., not just a lamp and a few trees...
as for the whole mothership/battleship thing... for all we know it could be just a cargo transport of some sort

the daytime pic (assuming its the same general location) looks as if the hillside is below the break off point on the street light where it arcs over
the street. the night time photo looks as if the filmer was more 'directly under' the light which would put the object even further higher in the
sky.
to me its obvious that there is not a hillside that comes up that high based on the daytime photo.
to mistake it as a cargo plane or a fire on the hillside or motorcycle or vehicle tail lights is just 'alien' enough for me.
to be a fire, that last illumination sure does flare up fast a little too fast if you ask me, and why no report of fires on 25,000 ft hillside the
next day.hmmmmm

Even in a "fire" cover up scenario by the media there would have been some kind of coverage but as the speaker mentiones there were multiple
reports of this object yet no media reports.Strange I think.

exactly, cause for the media to 'cover' the story and then end it with, 'well it looks like this or that, may have actually let the cat out of the
bag on how ignorant their observational skills are. which in turn could have a snowball effect on the story getting world wide attention.
this isnt the last we'll see of this case.

You can also see that the angle is very different, if you just look at the different length the upper part of the post is (the part
that's connecting the light dome to the actual post).
You can also be standing on a hill and zoom in to make the background seem higher or lower, etc...
It is very obvious that the shots are not taken from the same position, and at this point it makes little sense in discussing any
similarity between the two pictures (daytime and nighttime).

Missouri is well-known for its numerous palm trees. However, I'm still pretty sure that this is footage of a hillside fire in California.

Exactly. There is no way to tell if these photographs were taken from the same position (although they look like they were not), nor can we tell if
they are even of the same street light.

30mph winds would have had that tree swaying and obscuring the street light.
I live in an area where it isn't uncommon to see fires on mountains and hills, and it looks just like a fire on a mountain at night

Huh?? I'm from MO, and there are no "numerous palm trees"...in fact, there are no palm trees at all. They wouldn't survive the harsh winters.
This video has been taken in a more temperate climate. Not sure why the thread title lists MO as the location, as nothing in the video itself
indicates or mentions MO.

Problem is the Daytime picture is a totally different location/angle to the
nighttime picture. It is just trying to prove it was taken in a particular
location and was not the mountain in the background. It's interesting
but I don't believe it is where it is claimed to be. And why publish this
4 years after. Myth Busted.
