Regarding the Coast to Coast show, I'm a long time advid listener.
However, I share your sentiments about the content decline.
But, there are still great segments and programs.
Granted, there are some lame viewpoints contributed by Ian.
I don't think he can help himself on those. He's just a nerd.
That doesn't make him a bad person. Just don't know how he stays on the show. When it gets too much I just turn the radio off and go to sleep, or
try a different station. (I do hate experiencing something as sharp as Coast to Coast being "dumbed-down" to suit some unknown program management
and/or corporate agenda.)
I recognize that George does seem to be selling-out to some establishment ideas to an extent, but you have to pay the bills.
He still has valuable content on his shows, and I listen for that.
As for the bigfoot and ghost type show fasinations over and over and over, well, this can get a bit much to wade through. Maybe they are playing to
the "newbes". The vast array of the numb, just beginning to wake up.
Again, I just have to turn it off.
It appears it becomes a question of which is more important to Coast to Coast management, loosing their "seasoned listeners", or picking up those
numerous newbes, just now becoming weaned off the mainstream sedation.
If this is program managements' effort, they may be about to loose their base if they don't watch out, as seasoned listeners become impatient.
But if their effort is to ALLOY (add something that lowers value or purity), that is, ALLOY the empowerment of Coast to Coast to the cause of truth
and freedom, becase too many have been catching on too fast, and this is to the global elites detrament who may now be interfearing in Coast to Coast;
this too will be found out! Since things like the Internet and Coast to Coast have let the proverbal "genie out of the bottle". It's not about to
be put back in.
Though, with the show currently going more and more mainstream right now, it can get confusing to some, or suspicious to those like myself. I.e.:
Who's involved in program decision making, etc? What are they trying to do with the listeners? What do they want to get out of us? How do they
want to influence us? Whose interest is it in, ours or theirs?
George built up the show with some incredible programing, and spot on interviewing skills, i.e.: asking those questions (like Art did), that we would
have liked to ask ourselves, or that we didn't even think to ask, and done with Georges' good heart, and genuine nature. This is all good. And we
do get spoiled.
However, too many of those DUMB-reptitive-comercials (like the phoney scripted one with Roseann B, or P-a-a-aalla Casino, or the idiot plumber ones),
or too many mainstream-viewpointed-guests, and repetitive newbe fasination subject matter without significant new content, and anyone who DOES have a
clue may begin to get weary.
I really wonder whose got control of the show now, or is assuming more control. I even heard Dr. Dean Adell on the show recently talking with George!
He's 180 degrees opposite George on health and such, but George had HIM on the show wasting MY time! The only way I'd have Dr. Adell on the show
is if I had Dr. Len Horowitz on too, tearing Adell a new one.
George, what is up? Maybe you have some "'splainin" to do.
Best, Sal
