I find a hard time finding much of anything to joke about it. Its tragic and really is only newsworthy because of the gruesome way he went about
it.
A neighbor of mine... not someone close to me but someone I knew took a dive off of a tall bridge last month and his family indeed the whole
neighborhood is still in shock.
Pity the family that discovered him.

This is another argument on why handguns should be legal.
This is not a one-line post, but probably should be.

I agree that its not worth hacking ones head off. But considering that the cost of rent these days is often more then a payment on a modest house I
can see the grief. My brother pays more then twice in rent then we do in house payments.

Conservative Jack, read the article. His home was not repossessed because he couldn't afford it.
Raist, at the bottom of the article it says he was suffering from mental illness and had attempted suicide before
I could see this being a statement, but really.. he gained nothing from this. He lost his house and everything he'd ever worked to keep anyway when
he killed himself. I guess he did make a mess of the house though.. Will take a while for anyone to want to live in that building. In all honesty,
I'd rather live in a house where someone overdosed than live in a house where someone splattered their blood all over the walls...
Not to be disrespectful..

It's sad that someone was so traumatized about losing their home and depressed they would go to such an extreme.
Whats even sadder is a person like you who can't empathize and getting stars for such a jerky response.

We knew this kind of thing would happen. People today are just insanely tied to their car, house or TV. Just the thought of losing any of it and they
go crazy.
We'll see a lot of suicide in the next 5 years as the depression hits. Much more than in the 30s... because now, most of us are in our world of
illusions.

Not promoting suicide but would it not be better to die of carbon monoxide poisoning in your garage with your car running. Would take less effort to
actually set this up and you just fall asleep. No pain, no mess for whoever finds you. Even if you feel nothing after a few seconds, like one of the
posters above...that's a very painful few seconds! Ouch!

My husband became very ill and was in a lot of pain. He committed suicide. My landlords reaction? He was worried that he couldn't rent the house
again because of the death-disclosure laws in that state. You have to tell the next tenant or owner that there was a death in the house. Maybe the
banks should think about that before forclosing on someones home!

Props to that dude...he's freakin hard core!
See...I'm more of an extrovert...i'm way more likely to kill someone else than to do myself in, but damn. That's probly the most bad ass way to
kill yourself that i've ever heard.

Agree totally.
It's not the home as such that they are devastated in losing, it's when someone puts huge amounts of energy into working for the home, that
the loss becomes too much to bear. Like an artist who worked hard for several years creating a masterpiece, only to see it destroyed before their
eyes. Similar feeling.
After all, houses are the carrots in front of the donkey in this society. People have been programmed that the goal in life is to work as hard as they
can in return for a "dream home".
Thank God I rent. They can come and take it whenever they want, I'll offer them a coffee as I hand them the keys...

Two things bother me about your post, first of all you failed to mention that this guy will never be the head of a major corporation....and second,
the M16A2 in your picture is out of proportion. I know that's nit-picking but that is one long M16.

People are disrespecting this guy and talking about him in various negative ways and many show no sympathy.
But the reality is
At least this guy did make a statement
The rest of us work 30 years, sit at jobs very often we don't like deprive ourselves of family and loved ones, allow our kids to grow up brainwashed
and not influenced by us but rather strangers on a daily basis.
And in the end
All just to pay for a Home, we could build in 1 year with our own hands if we were allowed to!
It's not a very difficult thing, but if we choose to we have to be a licensed contractor or your sinking your money and if your not or don't pay one
off, your home will never be approved, if your smart you can go that route still, but it's not made easy by any stretch of the imagination.
The housing market which we are told is sinking, is really not even close to being what it's actual value should be...
250 G, 500 G, 1 Million
For, a foundation, chicken wire, wood, drywall, some siding, plumbing and wires?
30 years of your life... for what, we used to build when this country was settled with an axe and basic tools
and i hate to say it... those Homes Victorian era particularly Were BETTER, larger, cooler, more attractive, more spacious
and often built... by ONE GUY
it's obscene
what we go through to simply have a home...
The American Dream... to own a home
a simple thing, so easy to do...
Made into an impossible nightmare for so many.
For no reason but greed.

It's not that I'm disrespecting the man, I'm just impressed at the sheer Saw-esque nature of the incident. To be able to chainsaw one's own head
off is honestly quite an achievement - if I tried it, I'd undoubtably mess it up and just horribly maim myself.

Americans, gotta love them. Everyone thinks they're entitled to the best, the biggest, the fastest. Except not everybody can be a movie star. Only
some people.
