Unfortunately, since so many of the K-12 publishing companies are friends of the Bush Admin., we'll have to rely on collegiate textbooks to cover
these war crimes and unconstitutional acts.
But since the press is dead, and the media industry has become whores for another agenda; we'll most likely only share 'facts' like these as
anecdotes to our grand children. Ever wonder how often the American people get to review the "Big Book of Presidential Pardons"?
I wouldn't trust the intelligencia elite to relay true history. They have forsaken that charge.

I saw it on yahoo earlier this evening, but then they took it down. Funny how this gets ignored. I will be glad when I no longer have to see his

I caught honoraria while I was vacationing in Mexico and it was a real pain to get rid of.
Seriously though, I'd like to see him brought up on some more serious charges like War Crimes and possibly face a death sentence. He's not likely to
face serious, if any, punishment from these indictments.

Anyone have another sorce? I get "access denied" in the OP link.
Interesting indictment. How can Cheney, several judges, and a congressman be charged with assault on prisoners? Because Cheney has financial interest
in the Vanguard Group?
So, if I'm a shareholder in Boeing, I can be indicted on war crimes because they built engines that carried bombs that were used in Iraq?

Never been here before, so thought I'd provide you people with some local info. Yes, I live down here at the bottom of Texas. This whole thing has
nothing to do with facts, so those who hate republicans, don't get too excited. You see, this is what we do down here. We have the highest return
on the dollar for going after the "deep pockets" in court. AND since our juries are all made up of sheep, there's plenty of money to be made.
We don't have one republican in office in all of south Texas...and haven't for years. The dems run the show and keep that "poor down trodden"
message going.
IF they can get this idea to stick in the local's mind (doesn't have to be true or end in a guilty verdict), the plaintiffs will have a field day.
Every prisoner who gets looked at funny will be able to sue.
They just awarded over 40 million to a family of a prison a year ago. (currently on appeal up in North America!)
This is all about keeping the public stupid and the attorneys rich….not to mention the fact that Mr. Guerra thinks everyone is out to get him! Have
attached some past history here for you so you don’t have to take some strangers word for it. Might help if you had all the info before forming an
opinion on this one.
Welcome to South Texas, y’all!

According to the article it hasn't been signed by the judge and i bet you anything that judge has some very powerful people leaning on him/her to
make sure he/she doesn't sign it.

The BBC finally caught the story, so that's a pretty reputable source. From the article
The indictment has not been seen by a judge, who could dismiss it.

This sounds like the parting shot from a prosecutor who got his butt handed to him in the last election. The guy sounds like a wacko...I wonder how
much credibility he has?
Last month, Banales dismissed indictments that charged Guerra with extorting money from a bail bond company and using his office for personal
business. An appeals court had earlier ruled that a special prosecutor was improperly appointed to investigate Guerra.
After Guerra's office was raided as part of the investigation early last year, he camped outside the courthouse in a borrowed camper with a
horse, three goats and a rooster. He threatened to dismiss hundreds of cases because he believed local law enforcement had aided the
investigation against him.

case and face a similar situation.
Huge difference though, Nixon wasn't pardoned by a democrat. He was pardoned by his VP.
Personally, as an Obama Supporter I don't want any pardons for Bush or Cheney. Without accountability at the highest levels in Government, our
society is doomed.

Despite the fact that Bush/Obama have/will have the power to pardon him, it would be nice if Cheney was being used as a scapegoat by those above him,
ie 'you have outlived your usefulness and someone has to take the rap...sorry Dick...'
Doubt it though, but I'll begin visualising now; see what I can do

It looks like no one here is reading the article. (except JSO)
Cheney is being charged with alleged abuse of prisoners in Willacy County's federal detention centers because he holds stock in the Vanguard Group?
At least that's what it looks like to me.
The charges are junk charges - It accuses Cheney of a conflict of interest and "at least misdemeanor assaults" on detainee.
What kind of language is that? 'at least misdemeanor assaults'??
As JSO said - does this mean that anyone holding stock in Boeing or "LockMart" (Lockheed Martin) or Glock (etc etc) can now be charged with 'at
least misdemeanor assaults' if products from those companies result in less then perfect living conditions for someone someplace on this planet?
Sounds like the fella pushing the charges is just looking for attention.
I understand folks wanting an investigation into possible wrongdoings by Cheney during his 8 years as Vice President. But folks ... this isn't
it.

Its great seeing all the Bush haters get so wound up over this! This is nothing but a grasp at a vision of a string by another Bush hater that won't
go anywhere. I'm sure every Bush hater excited by this is also adamant to the fact that Obama has shown a legit birth certificate.......
Its funny how emotion dictates facts in so many of these threads-

Uhm... as for me, I'm not a Bush hater. Besides, he wasn't indicted.
I am, for the record, a Dick "I think I'm above the law and actually President, don't agree with me and I'll shoot you in the face" Cheney hater.

I can't see how a pardon could be issued before all the delays in court
will prevent it from being heard before Jan 19th. (I pulled that date out of ESP thin air)
