The MSM has created a vacuum due to the fact more and more people are looking for alternative media, the vacuum is being filled by many who play loose with the facts, and hurt the cause of Truth, and where the Truth will lead. Its stories like these, if not real or just wrong, make it hard to gain credibility.

Of which, less than 2% would actually do anything in an organized manner. Now, divide those over various ethnic and political factions and toss in a 100k worth of gangs (crips, MS13, Hell's Angels).

We'd be far too busy fighting one another to counter attack the organized might of the US Military and their T-.01s (grunts).

Divide, re-educate, conquer.

Tray, this is a law that is observed by both private/public companies for active or retired members of service that are called to duty. The form is a 1010. In a nutshell, it protects mostly the medical benefits of individuals for up to and sometimes beyond 30 days - 24 months. For example, we had several of these when the National Guard was deployed after Hurricane Katrina. It holds a persons job and does not allow for supervisors to pass over qualified candidates, in this case military, during their leave. This is one aspect...
I just stated I wasn't in the military b/c I am not 'in the know' about how ranking works or what reasons constitute some deployed or activated over others. Or that I have anyone in my sphere of influence that can verify the claim. I have, moreoever my department, seen an increase in the amount of these claims of late...

And you don't think the people who went to school for 8 years to study trends, statistics, and analysis have factored all that in?

Nah, they just get paid hundreds of thousands a year to throw out a round number.

Uhh.. NO.. I’m afraid not.
Out of the military for me means out for good. I didn’t retire from the military, but I did do more than my reasonable amount of time.

IF this is true and I doubt it is, I guess the Poopy is going to hit the fan early.

I don’t seem to understand how this information is coming from a single person, that to me displays all the hallmarks of a hoax.

Sounds like classic fear mongering to me, giving the impression “something” big is going down.
Whatever we will see.

How can it be confirmed by military personnel on this board unless they were in the same office that was mailing out the letters. The story was from a show on Monday ( yesterday) so how could anyone have received the letters yet? Also, some letters are going out next week!

I'm just saying, let's wait and see in the next few days.

It might go without saying for many people that none of the mainstream media outlets have picked this up if it's true. However, I also can't find anything about this on the Army Times, Jane's Defense Weekly, or Global Security websites. If this is real, it would appear that it's under the radar thus far.

Warrant officers are just specialists in their field.. a sort of weird rank, but has nothing really to do with one branch, like say, MPs or the like. That really doesn't mean anything.

I've not received anything either for what it's worth. And don't expect I will. But guess we'll see this week!

If that is around the corner great, I mean...damn, sucks for us.

There just have been a lot of informative honest replies, just nothing solid.

You are right...it's early....couple days huh?

they are expecting up to a million or more people at Obama's inauguration ceremony.

ponder that for a minute and let your mind wander

Actually, today I heard that a million isn't all that unusual but that 4 million is the likely total.

That is wayyyyyy to many people to be crammed into such a small space.

Anything could happen.

To one of the OP. Anytime you go overseas or you're asked to do anything by a high superior they tend to update your records including SGLI so the Brass sees you're good to go.
I can say that they aren't reactivating everyone. In your contract you just have to do 4 years active, 4 years inactive. You're only eligible to be called back to duty for the 4 years following you're retirement from active duty. In very rare cases if you have a specific MOS that no one else has they may request you to come back to duty i.e. We had a guy that knew how to work on M40 tanks and we were in Africa, they still had M40's, no one else currently available knew anything about them. We sent a request to a few retired service members and only 1 accepted. We didn't do anything to the other member just thanked them for the response. We can't legally activate them.

This does not directly pertain to the supposed military recall, but it does pertain to the possible "something" coming soon. I have a close relative who works for law enforcement. He spoke with me tonight and told me that he needed to speak with me ASAP. He said that he could not speak to me over the phone, via email, or by text messaging, etc. He said that he needed to speak with me in person. He told me that they had been briefed about some major things about to take place, or which they fear are going to take place. He would not tell me the details but said it was very important and crucial that we spoke soon. I asked him, what anybody else would ask him, and he said, "I cannot tell you because they are monitoring everyone right now." In our conversation, I mentioned seeing him at Thanksgiving time and about me buying a weapon for protection, and he said, "That might be too late." I asked him, "Are you serious dude?" He said, "We just need to talk very soon, but I can't talk with you over the phone about any of this. It is pretty scary!" This coincides with what everybody is mentioning on this forum. Everybody seems to feel like something big is going to happen. Better pray more, that's for sure.

Well I haven't heard anything from my uncle, whom I see every weekend. He was an E9 CSM. Just retired 5 years ago.
