How do I edit a post?

Topic started on 18-11-2008 @ 12:33 AM by hadriana

I made a post, left out a needed word, and tried to edit it.
All I could see were edit post, and preview post.

I didn't see a 'save post' like on most forums.
So I selected edit post after I made my corrections.

The post THEN said it had been edited, but it was STILL the original post without correction. I tried it again, same thing. UG.

Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong?

It sounds like you did everything right. Can you point me to the post you're talking about?

The save draft reply has been disabled for the time being, there is also a glitch when you use preview after an edit. You see the edit in the preview but when you post you lose the edit except for the edit tags. So don't preview

did you try to "refresh" your screen afterwards? Usually its not necessary but it almost sounds like your screen is showing the "old" info out of your computer's cache
otherwise you did everything correctly
just an aside, it seems like idiosyncratic things are cropping up all the time lately. right now the little icon that is supposed to bring up a thread in a new tab isn't working. the new thread just replaces the page I'm on.
managing this site has to be a nightmare at times I'm sure.

I had to do a search to figure out how to edit my posts and found this one. Worked great! I just wanted to say thanks.
