Sparks Fly As 'Gay" Activist Mob Swarms Christians

www.wnd.com

Hundreds of homosexual activists rushed out of bars and swarmed a group of Christians who were singing songs in San Francisco's Castro District – and some even threatened to kill the worshippers.

A group of Christians had been singing and praying in the "gay" district for several days, but they never expected an angry mob would run them out. However, that's what happened Friday night.

One woman who was attacked told her story at Pastor Lou Engle's Justice House of Prayer in San Francisco.

This is amazingly pathetic to the Third Degree. These "Gay Rights Activists" always Preach of Tolerance, and Acceptance, yet when an opposing view emanates itself within their presence, they turn into an angry mob of Hate-filled, Spiteful, Ignorant wanna'be Thugs. They are the ones who have not only bashed Christianity, but they have also stolen the many Symbols and Teachings brought forth through this Religion as well. They are the ones getting into peoples faces and demanding rights, demanding in their ability to openly flaunt their lifestyle, and demanding in their want of special privileges. They, of all people, should be the last grouping of individuals that forms a Violent Mob. Bottom line.

They're a GANG!!!! I'm talking about the homosexuals.

They got right in the lens of the camera, and told all the Christians and Mormons to stay out of THEIR neighborhood.

That is classic GANG TALK to get HOSTILE over THEIR TURF!!!

lol

They're out of control...I guess equal rights is only for THEM, when they want to march and act out, anyone else wishing to express their right of free speech is subject to be abused by them.

The video isn't much good from what I saw. It only shows the escort out of the neighborhood and sound wise is nothing more than almost 5 minutes of continuous whistles being blown. Very harsh on the ears.

As for the actual story, that's awful. An angry mob just for some people praying in their neighborhood? I would like to think that there was more to it to cause them to behave like that, but there isn't anything in the story regarding what started the commotion aside from some Christians praying. That just doesn't seem to me to be something worthy of an angry mob and a police escort.

To be fair, Christians are far from "perfect" (not literally) themselves. Take a gander at the hypocrisy, arrogance, zeal, and ignorance of the thread starter of this thread:

www.abovetopsecret.com...

Is what the gays did wrong? Yes. No doubt about it.

It however is more wrong that a Christian, a person who is supposed to be accepting, loving, etc etc has these murderous thoughts on gays. He/she is a living contradiction.

Pot calling the kettle black? I think so.

For the record, I am neither a Christian, nor gay.

Not using this is an excuse because I DO NOT condone violence or think it is right to deny free speech to anyone, but is comments like this that is adding fuel to the fire. This is why gay people are so angry. I am very concerned things are going to get out of hand.

In all seriousness... I like the way the law enforcers handled that "flash mob"...seems like all of that crowd control training is paying off...

well, i guess after years of being treated as a sub-human, denied equal rights, physically assaulted and killed for being born who we are, I guess we've decided we've had enough. Thats what happens when you suppress a group of people and deny them their equal rights. Reap what you sow.

it's not just the people praying. it's them feeling that they need to save us and them applying their religious dogma to people who obviously don't want it. these people want to deny certain citizens equal rights because of the gender of their lover. all because a book written by god knows who over 2000 years ago says so.

In my experience as an Atheist, tolerance and acceptance toward religious groups doesn't work. If you tolerate them, they just remain in your face putting you down because they think it's the "righteous" thing to do. And you accepting them just makes them feel like their derogatory preachings are right and just... mostly because there's no consequence dealt from your end.

I wouldn't be surprised in the least if the gay community experience the same effect. They've tried the tolerant route for much longer than I had expected them to. It was only a matter of time before some of them felt annoyed enough to take a more direct approach.

... something we Atheists should have done... if we were actually organized... but that would defeat the point of becoming Atheist. Violence and hierarchical organizations are typically what fellow Atheists tend to be against.
... so you probably won't get a violent reaction from us...

... but the gays are unified because the religions secluded and excluded them... not because they chose to separate. So yeah, I expect to see more of this. Just a reaction to the religious groups denying acceptance themselves.

Quite frankly, I can't have any sympathy for the religious people who were run out of town. I've dealt with their garbage for too long myself... but my Atheistic morals prevent me from acting on it.

And your beliefs in your own small sect of the worlds religions justifies denying them the right to marry under another religion?

I fail to see what makes Christians the authority here.

It also doesn't justify the derogatory preachings against those who aren't accepted into the Christian religion... nor the Christian faiths history of violence towards those who they don't deem "pure".

No I'm sorry... I can't accept Christians as a moral authority over the worlds religious practices.

If you don't want them marrying as Christians, then that's between you and your church. There are plenty of other religions to marry under... or... you can get married without a religion too.
Christians are not an authority on this matter.

If you take away the right of these people to marry under any religion or lack of... then it gives you the authority to determine which other religions are allowed to marry in your country as well.

And that my friend... is fascism.

Just because you or your sect don't like it, doesn't mean the rest of us have to obey.

I'm an Atheist... and I'm entitled to marriage. No god, no religion, but I can still marry... you going to tell me I'm not entitled to marriage as well?

===================
To Atheists and Agnostics...

I know we don't usually agree with each other over morality issues, as our morals are created and kept by us as individuals... but I for one am choosing a side here. I'm backing the gays. I can't tell you what to do, as it violates the purpose of us all choosing to separate from religion... but I feel inclined to urge you, we need to start defending the gays.

Not for their sake, but for ours.
If we let the religious groups get away with dictating who can and cannot marry... then we're next.
You might not feel the gay's cause is worth stepping into... but I'd rather stop this now, with them, than let the religious fundamentalists begin targeting us with their fascist approach to morality next.

I don't want to see morality control handed to the same organization who caused the crusades, and so many other hate based garbage through history.
I'll see what I can do about taking a stand where I'm needed.

If you're with me, great, if you're not, I understand. I don't expect unity from atheists or agnostics... all I can do is urge you through request.

I think they'd have the right to be angry if they just had their rights taken away.
