Why does ATS shut down drug conversations, but not those about suicide bombers?

Oops, I just posted about drugs here...

I wonder, will they remove or shut down this one?

Just out of curiosity, if marijuana became legal tomorrow, would talking about it then become a-okay? I mean, do folks talk about alcohol consumption around here? Granted, discussing participation in an illegal activity is a touchy subject on some sites, yet in some areas where people live use is merely a misdemeanor. Would someone get into trouble if they also mentioned they drove 5 MPH over the speed limit somewhere where it was misdemeanor to do so? Just curious about the actual intent in all of this prohibitory talk. Are just some misdemeanors taboo, or are all misdemeanors taboo?

I think that all misdemeanors that in the experience of the administration of ATS always lead to self-incriminating talk are taboo

That includes pot and hallucinogen use, but not suicide bombing, because suicide bombers never come here and post self-incriminating rants.

For talk about alcohol use, I recommend the DATS (Drunks Above Top Secret) thread at BelowTopSecret.
