The only thing I can come up with is could it be jet fighters in formation on a landing approach? At certain points in the video it looks like there is some structure behind the lights(pause at 2.17, planes?)

This footage is very good.. so far one of the best out there..

I was thinking jet fighters in formation then I see the camera pan out a 54 seconds and the lights are not moving so unless they are head on at that point or they are all harriers , maybe Apache helicopters or suchlike.Very strange.

Looks a lot like the "string of pearls" effect that you can see at a lot of busy airports at night. The planes, lights on, all like up along a landing lane, one behind the other. From straight on, it looks like a single thing with a lot of lights. Then, like in the video, you see one peel off for a real landing. In this case, the approach lane is apparently at a right angle to the landing strip.

That's what it looks like to me. Planes stacked up to land.

I could be wrong here but imagine a light in a football stadium it looks like one of them folding out. Is there any stadiums in that region of france and does it have fold out stadium lights, could be worth checking out

The problem I have with that is that they all move together on to their sides at about 2.04. Planes in formation maybe,passenger planes on approach I don't buy it.

im pretty sure the person who lives in this location is familiar enough to know if there are hills near by, based on what the other poster brought up,

but it doesnt take a genius to know that this could not take place on a road on a hillside unless you wanted to cause a serious accident. and i didnt see any explooooosions.

It looks like all six lights are on the same object & does look like it has structure behind it, some new type of aircraft maybe?

I speak french, this is probably genuine due to the amazed intonation of the woman talking on it and calling someone to come and watch it..(you hear hear walking on sometjing like steps down).

Flares tied to balloons tied together will get this effect this is not a an intelligent extraterrestrial flying this , Another hoax and a cheap one , Why dont these UFO fly around and why a shaky camra all the time and why do they seem to burn out at the end , FLARES thats why I use them all the time on my boat and thats what they look like get a grip
