I should not be surprised but I am. I always thought that it was better to eat as much as you could when you were pregnant, to help stimulate as much growth as possible. Guess not.

I remember when I was in a community college and I saw this girl who got pregnant just eating the fattiest foods they provided. Greasy french fires with cheese and burgers. I felt bad for the child growing in her. Probably should have said something but that would have been quite a presumptuous move on my part.

Just thought I would let all my fellow ATS women out there know about this article.

Wow. I must really be bad a judging whats important.

Maybe because the Dr. said the following?

But he warned against extrapolating too readily from animal studies, particularly as the rats in the latest study were fed a very unnatural diet.

I would not jump the gun too quick though. An organic and natural food diet during pregnancy for us humans would not hurt. This obvious I guess.

oh well. ttyl

could it also be due to the fact that most processed foods including baby formula, contains corn in one format or another?

formula fed babies weigh much more than breast fed babies.

articles.mercola.com...

Is this what your talking about?

Never heard of it and this seems to be the only site talking about it.

Just seems to be about allergies caused from the corn, not so much as obesity.

Breast feeding I am sure is the healthiest choice of course.
