Im still looking into "her" and havent dug much into "him" yet...
But it just seems more and more like this was a hit (as if the "vistors" werent evident enough)...and maybe her job involved more then her title
says:
Buckley said Powell had started at the lab as a contract worker in 2004 and had become a lab employee in 2006. He declined to name the lab Powell
worked in or her title, citing the “nature of the work.”
****
Forrest said her daughter was a security specialist who would not talk about her work. Powell would occasionally leave town for a couple of days to
pick up things for the lab, she said. “I would ask her where she was going, and she would say, ‘Mom, you know I can’t tell you that.’ ”
****
Kelly Easter, one of Powell’s co-workers, said he last had lunch with her Aug. 26. “She was busy working on stuff, trying to get police involved.
She was really messed up about the whole thing,” he said. The man claiming to be an FBI agent had come to her door only a few days earlier. “She
just had no idea who would do that.”
cryptogon.com...
And do you ever watch movies like "Bourne", etc and think "oh its just a movie". I think more and more these movies are a reflection of what is
really going on.

Okay, there is this about tracking pandemics:
www.jhuapl.edu...
and this about simulated environments:
www.jhuapl.edu...
and of course last weeks story about Google tracking flu this year by search hits.
ALL SPECULATION mind you. That's just the only duplicate topic on the Scroogle page for her department.

WOW, both sound like assassinations to me...
Both must have stumbled onto information that they where never supposed to know, see, or hear.

Let's assume for a moment that Ms. Powell knew something important that people in government or big business didn't want known.
The perps would have two choices at that point. Convince her to shut up or knock her off.
She strikes me as the sort of person, who, if she were getting pressure of some sort at work, would have told somebody about it. But nobody seems to
have indicated that she was under pressure.
The only pressures were the two first attempts at knocking her off.
Nobody was pressuring her. This wasn't a case of mistaken identity. Somebody wanted her dead, period.
She may have found out something that she didn't even know was important. The people who didn't want the information known decided that it was too
risky to try to shut her up. She wasn't important enough to try to keep alive, so they did the simplest thing. They killed her, but in a clumsy
unprofessional way.
Who is powerful enough to be able to send out three separate hitmen who don't know their jobs (make that two who don't know their jobs) and stupid
enough not to know how to do a hit cleanly? My money would be on a group within her own organization, involved in something she found out about.

I think that is the key. Often things piece together in retrospect that don't connect initially. She may have had access to information that may seem
innocuous now, but will be meaningful later.

I can't find the recent story but I remember reading a post within the last week about several government people approaching a reporter for the NYT
(or so I think) basically saying they'd talk after the bush admin. was gone about domestic spying ? I can only imagine the huge volume of personell
in posession of sensitive information that have had to keep quiet and are dying to come clean. Just speculation on my part, but it seems that the old
guard may have a lot of housecleaning to do before their day is over. Wouldn't be a bit suprised if there's a connection.

That makes a lot of sense and could very well be the case. Afterall, the dude worked as a computer specialist at a counter terrorism unit, fer
christ's sake. He is like one of the dudes on 24 who handles all the real time terrorism information. At least I would assume so. Considering the
fact that a lot of the Bush admin's alleged crimes have been committed under the guise of bad information, this man may very well have been
knowledgable about a great number of damning things.
The other one is a total mystery to me. I would imagine that the connection, if any, is buried in that list of projects her lab was working on.
Add - Maybe these are those "red list murders" we read about a while back.

Ok So from what I have found Kanika Powell sent an email to her friends about the strangers visiting her.
Toward the end of the email, Powell wrote,‘…not only did I get NO sleep for the rest of my weekend, I am trying to get an alarm system installed
in my apartment.’ Powell signed her e-mail to friends and colleagues as “Kanika T. Powell, Special Security, 13-S448 JHU/APL.”
Kanika T. Powell in Special Security 13-S448 JHU/APL
JHU/APL stands for John Hopkins University / Applied Physics Laboratory.
The 13-S448 can mean plenty of things. The current rumor online is that 13 stands for a building number which would mean that Kanika worked at the
NAVSIL building.
Navigation and Guidance System Integration Laboratory (NAVSIL) is a fully instrumented, real-time HIL test facility for making detailed performance
evaluations of missile Global Positioning System (GPS) and navigation hardware. NAVSIL provides a high-fidelity wraparound simulation of the signal
environment, radio frequency (RF), and inertial sensors as well as the host vehicle command and control that flight hardware would receive during an
actual mission. Custom instrumentation is used for evaluating counter-countermeasures performance of GPS and navigation systems for several weapons
programs.
Although this may not be true because Kanika let on that her job involved homeland security.
The only other thing I found pertaining to S448 was this :
bulk.resource.org...
Other then that all other searches for S448 lead to pages of journals??

Oh there are plenty I didnt mention that I just cant think of off hand. Ive already told everyone in my family that if things dont change then Im
moving to Canada. I know Ill get flamed by the right wing ideologues here but Our country really is no better than the Soviet Union or Nazi Germany
in my opinion. They refuse to listen to the people who elected them. You have the bailout that passes even though the people were overwhelmingly
against it, you have immigration still not fixed, you have our infrastructure collapsing, you have HUGE debt being added, You have the CIA
collaborating with Hollywood as shown in another thread just put on here I mean what do you call a government that does not listen to its people I
mean thats a dictatorship isnt it?

No, it was Sean Nicholas Green, who worked for homeland security. Two different people assassinated (IMO), but both held "security" positions for
the government. Couldnt talk to anyone about their jobs (although, not too odd for gov jobs).
Also, both lived very quite, possibly 'boring' lives. She had her group of friends from high school. Neither were married, nor had kids. Hardly
anything can be found on them: IE. myspace, facebook
Maybe they were spies and there time was up. Don't know, just speculating. *shrug*

First, Sean Nicholas Green: He had a high level security clearance, so you know he passed a backround/criminal records check. There is no obvious
motive to the crime. Friends and family say nothing unusual seemed to be going on in his life. He was following his normal daily routine. Witnesses
say he was clearly targeted during the incident, so it wasn't a random crime.
I wonder if he came across some incriminating computer evidence and, if so, did he even know it?.
What a bright future wasted.

An Oxon Hill man who worked with sensitive national security information was fatally shot Wednesday evening as he sat in his car at a stop
light near his home, according to police, family members and coworkers.
Sean Nicholas Green, 31, had stopped at a red light at about 5:31 p.m. when a man approached his car and fired several shots into the driver's side
window of his black Cadillac Deville, police and family members said.
Cpl. Clinton Copeland, a spokesman for Prince George's County police, said detectives do not have a suspect and are still working to establish a
motive for the killing. "It doesn't appear to be a carjacking, he was sitting at the light, he wasn't the only car there -- it's weird stuff, a
mystery right now," Copeland said.
www.wjla.com...
OXON HILL, Md. - Family members of an Oxon Hill man are as mystified by his death as the police investigating the case; the shooting was not a
robbery, and the question that lingers is whether the gunman knew his victim, and if so, how.
Sean Nicholas Green, 31, was in his car apparently leaving his Oxon Hill community about 5:30 p.m. Wednesday when he stopped before turning onto St.
Barnabas Road. His family thinks that he was on his way to the gym and then on to his mother's house.
He was the second of five or six cars in the right turn lane at the intersection, investigators believe. Witnesses said a gunman, dressed in a black
jacket with his hood up, walked up to Green's Cadillac and fired nine shots into the driver's-side window.
The gunman did not say anything to Green or try to open the car door, witnesses said.
"The individual just walked up him -- the window being up, the door closed -- and discharged his firearm several times, striking Mr. Green," said
Prince Georges County police Cpl. Steve Pacheco.
Green died at the scene from multiple gunshot wounds to the head
Green's family said he had attended the University of Maryland and Frostburg State University, earning a computer science degree.
He held a top secret security clearance in his work as a computer specialist with the National Counter-Terrorism Center, a federal agency. They say
Green loved his job and was recently promoted.

Ok we have 2 deaths in mysterious circumstances, from what we know about the case so far. and thats all we know. and without any other evidence, your
going to cry out "the government killed them" i hope to god those of you who think this way never have to serve on a jury, where a persons life
hangs in the balance, pending the jurys decision based on EVIDENCE.
For all you know they might have been espionage agents of a foreign government, not the US, but we dont know.
How about waiting for more facts to come out before you jump on the short yellow bus of US gov conspiracy theories.
