There is a fundamental flaw in your mission, which is the reason why every organization of this type ever started has failed...
Your mission is personal gain. Let's say I join. Please can I have $50,000?
There is nobody in the society who will give it to me, because every member is there for gain, meaning he wishes to take $50,000, not
give $50,000.
Such a society could only ever work when every member of the society is interested in GIVING, not in taking. For such a society to work, it would have
to exclude members who join for personal gain, which goes against the mission of the society.
Thus, it could never work.

Of course, we should give a percentage of our profits to a charity.
This should be researched and chosen carefully so that our gifts are not spent on absurd administration expenses.
I've always felt that those that reap wealth should give some of it back to the less fortunate. It has worked for me. And it's tax deductible.

Well well, what a charming thread!
I would like to join, if this thing gets serious enough!
But I suggest you make connections with wealthy/powerful people first, and then form this society, so you have something to start with.
Bear in mind that this wealthy people may not want to be part of this society, and some of them are probably members of other ones.

If the purpose is just for fun, count me in.
As for the name, check out this rough translation of "new thought":
Novus Sententia
Sounds official!

Seriously tho, personal gain is a good motivator but unfortunately it has been attempted in 3rd world countries for decades with no success. I think
personally that the motivation of any organized group is to better the lives of the members by enlightening them with the Science of Business. Most
members hold influential positions in the areas that counts (Banking, Courts, Law Makers). These people are so money fed, enlightening themselves are
damn near impossible.
I say, first put a topic on the table that can be explored by it's members (i.e. Tetragrammaton), master this mystery and become one of the GODS.

When do we vote on a Grand Poobah to lead us? Every secret society needs a Grand Poobah.

If this were to work...
We need to establish objectives, and common enemies.

I must say when I saw this I at first laughed, but then the more I thought about it it's actually not a bad idea. I don't think that it should have
anything to do with financial gain, as money corrupts. also not based on any religious beliefs. as to recruiting people in power, we may alrady have
people here on ATS in positions of power as its anonymous we never know.
