Lets start one.

Who wants to start a secret society with me? Im planning on it being world wide and we can use our connections for personal gain. I dont have anything really planned out yet but we have to start somewhere.

This is mainly for Fun but it would be cool to see where this takes us.

ATS IS a different society, we just don't hide behind locked doors, anyone can discuss in our meetings.

I'd like to join although I don't think that knowing me will be of any use to anyone.

Could we all have a secret tatoo so we'd recognise each other?

I'm willing to join such a group as you propose. How would we organize it, though? And what kind of names would/could/should we come up for each of the positions within this secret society? Would we have 33 regular degrees, or would we have 99 degrees like the Rite of Memphis-Mizraim? Or maybe another set number of degrees, like say 45 0r 60? And what kind of initiations would we have for those who would want to join? And what type of initiations/ceremonies would we have for each of the succeeding degrees? And what of any initition fees or dues would we be talking about to begin with? And, most importantly, what would we name this secret society?There is a lot to consider before you even get around to actually forming such a secret society.

There would be much to be considerd before even thinking of forming anything.
What would the goal of the group be?
Would we file for a 401 tax exempt if in the U.S. ?
Lots of questions to go with the idea.
but over all a very interesting idea.

enough people as a collective group we could make a diffrence.
in a family's life, a towns future, or a country.

This is probably a really bad idea but could we have a secret headquarters in Second Life?

I've never played it but I like the idea of going off to secret conferences to put the world to rights and find ways to help out fellow members.

Plus I'd like robes.

The main goal would be personal gain and to elevate our group in wealth and power. It will be a brotherhood/sisterhood with a bond thicker then blood. We cant have one person ruling but we can have a council of intelligent people and everyone will be able to submit ideas and vote.
I don't want too many levels or degrees but that is something we can vote on. 12 is a nice round number and progression will be rather quick because we should all be equals.
This will start out slow but if we can get a growing group and recruit people of wealth and power it can benefit us all.
All the ground work has yet to be laid out and the more people that join the more ideas we will have.

The group shall be called Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Friday Saturday Sunday.

Forget the secret handshake. I propose a motion that we use a secret hi sign...put top of hand(opposite of palm) to bottom of chin and wiggle fingers. Can I get someone to second that motion?

No if you were going to create a secret society group, you would need a name with mystique, one that just the name people though of power,
but a name that everyone knows. A common name for something,
So they can write conspiracy theories about us.. something people can dig
their teeth into and think about.
Mystery as well as power... the name alone should show strength.

Here are some name suggestions in Latin and their English translations:

Lacertus - {strength}
Vir - {Man}
Duco {construction}
Mentis {mind}
Animus {Mind}
Gens {tribe}
Unus {one}

I have more but these are some suggestions for now

If the aim is to make lots of money, maybe someone has an idea for a business or an invention that they need to be funded.

If the secret society had enough members each person need only put in a small amount of money to get the project off the ground, then reap a percentage of the profits depending on how much money they had initially invested.

Alternatively, buy land. If each person bought one or two acres we could end up with a huge plot. Wait for prices to go up and sell for a mega profit.

...or we could all put up to invest in mind and metaphysical technology/eserotic devices that could further our manifesting power and overall influence on things.

Smile, because we took nothing and became what we consider legends and fairy tales, illumni etc.

Agnitio Infinitus is my recommendation for the name. (Knowledge Infinite)
Knowledge is power and our collective knowledge will mean something in the long run.
Also dues will be small and growth will be small. A slower growth is easier to control. Maybe 30 bucks a year.
Ill see if I can set up some form of website communication system where we can talk more.
Im living right outside Omaha and its centrally located in the US so this will be a good spot to base. If this thing takes off we can get some land and build a pyramid for an office. Now that would be something.

It also wont be religion based. I don't want to force people to believe something that they don't agree with. We can recognize all beliefs as a path to enlightenment. Enlightenment meaning Infinite Knowledge.

just need somewhere to talk and plan and not congest the boards here.
