The truth is that when they landed they did an Oil servey and none was found. Hence no return trips.
The reason for going to the moon was just so we could say "We did it first".
Uless we decide to put a base up there we have no reason to go back.

We haven't perfected nuclear fusion as a power source yet and therefore don't require the abundant Helium 3 to be found there? Who knows?

yeh, to have fossil fuel the planet has to have had organisms or plant life at one time. Cause fossil fuels are made from that. And the moon can't support life so no fuels.

I think they are going to build some sort of station on the moon that could one day be a launch platform for manned missions to mars...dont know when though..2020?... 2025?

haha. how much are we paying those NASA guys? you would think if they can send a satellite to Jupiter they could make it to the moon.

I think there's a secret space program that is so advanced you would be shocked. So, don't assume we haven't been back or haven't gone elsewhere. If it's secret, you wouldn't know.

Why haven't we been back after those 6? cause it is a tad pricey... and very dangerous... (Apollo 13 isn't the only mission to go wrong...)

I had thought about this myself for some time.

My initial theory was that we had never gone their in the first place. America was so desperate to beat Russia and so far behind in the space race that they had no choice but to get to the moon first, to restore faith in American enginuity.

So why the obvious fake photos and why never go back? When has mankind ever set a chalenge and once completing it said "right, now that's done we can put it away and do some thing else"? Never, we do it better and better. Once Everest was conqured did mankind say "OK that's done now what"? NO. We keep going back for more.

Then I found what I was looking for. We did go to the moon, and guess what? We discovered structures, bases and God knows what else. The moon had been and maybe still is enhabited.

The American Government got the hell outa there, never went back and buried it as far as they could. Only now the rest of the world has caught up and we're on the verge of the beans being spilt.

Do some reasearch into Mars and you'll discover obvious built structures exist there to. Pyramids, cities, the works. And all very similar to those that exist on earth.

The evidence is overwhelming when you look for it. It only takes an open mind. There's not many of those here though. Find out for yourself though.

That's a good question. I think there are a lot of reasons as to why we didn't go back to the moon. I think the idea that we forgot how to is not the case. I think it's that maybe we've lost the technology to go back there and we haven't figured out how to go back there since the last time (when the projects were scrapped).

I tend to think that if we made it easier for private companies to launch space missions we would have some sort of base on the moon, and would have a realistic way to get to Mars faster.

But I am sure that the licensing and regulations and other fees and penalties that the government charges are through the roof. Thus, people that want to make the simplest private trips to space have to go to Russia.

Without a doubt NASA needs to be privatized. A privately run NASA would have ditched that shuttle long ago, would be building a more innovative ISS, and would have a base on the moon.

If you want something done as inefficiently as possible, have the government do it.
