My friend, you seem to accept that there should be security clearances. That is
a deluded view. Security clearances create secrets, secrets create envy and
determination to know. Secrets create espionage. Think about it. If your neighbor does not drop the curtains, do you wonder what is going on? How about if your neighbor does drop the curtains?

It is my contention that the disappearance of security clearances and the free availability of information will be much better for all of us. Then you don't need
to worry about dangerous idiots, like bush, or megalomaniacs, like cheney, or
good germans, like rumsfeld, having control of more information than other people have.

The president and anybody that works directly with him has what is called a "yankee white" security clearance. It allows him to see anything at any classification so long he has a "need to know." Yes he might not know everything, but if he needed to make a command decision, then he will be given that information. This is the case with any compartmented information.

yankee white is a clearance to those working with or in close proximity to POTUS, an SSBI (single scope background investigation) clearance......POTUS clearance is beyond that level.

Forgot to add that yankee white is not a clearance level, but a level of investigation that allows one to work in direct communication with POTUS....

Yankee White cleared personnel are granted access to any information for which they have a need-to-know, regardless of which organization classified it or at what level. The Yankee White clearance includes a requirement for absolute absence of any foreign influence on the individual.

Gawd Hillbilly, this thread is taking up space that could be used for constructive ideas, but instead it has run 3 pages so far on nothing more than a right-wing fallacy.

A fallacy is a component of an argument which, being demonstrably flawed in its logic or form, renders the whole argument invalid.

If you can't understand this, i'm confused as to how you could be something other than a rightie drunk on kool-aid. Most independents/3rd party supporters are usually smart enough to not allow media talking points to dictate their general thoughts.

Lastly, if you can't help mentioning it, you really gotta want to use his middle name....all of your excuses for doing this are offensive to those who wish for intellectual honesty and integrity.
