Do you remember this tragic story? I was in high school when it happened, and was busy with lots of things, and hardly ever watched the news, but the mass suicide caught my attention.

I just couldn't believe over 900 people killed themselves at the same time! Of course, over the next few weeks, it was revealed that Jim Jones actually ordered the murder of many.

The aireal photographs showed a huge carpet of dead bodies strewn about the compound in Guyana.

Enter: a new kind of fear, leaving only to the imagination what could have really taken place on that fateful day nearly 30 years ago.

The Rev. Jim Jones was some kind of monster, mixed with a small amount of desire to do good. How could his flock not see the potential doom in this man?
