There are so many different topics covered here that we show up frequently in searches on Google. That's how I found this dysfunctional family. Can't even remember what I searched for, but clicked the link to ATS then looked around for awhile and started an account so I could post. Never got around to doing my introduction post till I had been here about a month or two, cause I'm special, so others may be doing that as well. And I've been talking about the site a lot as well to just about everyone I talk to really. Word of mouth is supposed to be the best kind of advertising.

Maybe the US Army Civil Affairs and Psychological Operations Command sent out a memo instructing everyone that they must all come to ATS because we're getting too close to the truth! jk

Hi new member here, just wanted to let it be known that IMO I think it would be good to ask that question atleast to know some of the diferent reasons why some of us new members jioned ATS. Me personally, I am new to the ideas and opinions expressed in this forum and happend upon it while doing some research on aliens and conspiricy related topics.I found it comforting to know that there exists like minded people who have put together such an awesome place for ideas to converge.I had originaly joined another forum similler to this on but found it confussing at times.I feel comfortable here in that I could make my opinions known without fear of harsh reprisal as I have noticed the MODS are ever present.I have also seen the kind re direction of several members in regards to "mistakes" and various other misgivings in posts.I guess I was just looking for this medium for awhile without really knowing and somehow was lead in the right direction.I look forward to the future of ATS whatever it might be and hope that I can contribute in a positive way.

its funny. i used to lurk on this site a lot and then finally registered because i loved it. then one day i told my friend about the zombie survival tips and she replied "oh abovetopsecret? i read it all the time." i was shocked! people are fed up with the horrible mainstream news outlets and have decided to take the power back! it's awesome.

Word of mouth spreads pretty fast huh. It wasn't to long ago I was a newbie as well, so I welcome all that graces these forums....Unless they disagree with me.

I've been here less than 2 weeks and to tell the truth I don't even know how I got here. I have talked to a number of people who I thought would be interested but I was surprised to find that most of them don't know what to make of it. It is a bit ...extreme for the average person.
I, on the other hand am in no way average.
And I find myself in good company here.

I heard ATS, after months of negotiations has secured the rights to advertise on the newest fleet of triangle UFO's soon to be released into our skies.


Should double the new membership!

The elections have ended for now. This has a large part to do with it.

They even start threads some times. Yep, some of these guys can even write. Not their own ideas though. The bible's...

Same here. found it long ago, but forgot about it until joining recently. Seems more relevant to me now, More things resonate personally. Yes. I am a recent member.

I have lurked for quite some time; happening upon a thread one day through a random link, not sure where. I signed up today.

I quickly realized that this was, by-far, the only site I had perused that covered every topic of interest I have entertained in my journey for answers.

For years I would start on a topic path because I would over hear a conversation, glance at a book in a bookstore, hear a keyword, or just feel like there was something more. My interests vary from conspiracy, to paranormal, to archaeology, history, cosmology, astronomy, and much more. I have been on a knowledge quest my entire life.

My boss once described me as "The girl who knows many many things and is an expert at not one thing".

Before ATS, I would search for a topic, which would lead me to another topic, which would lead me again, to a new topic. You can imagine my favourites list. I never finish anything because I am easily distracted by the new, the creepier, the awe-inspiring, the mind-boggling etc.

So now, I come to ATS first. I still search the wide grey, but I have come to really enjoy this site and what it has to offer.
