I think mandatory community service sounds a whole lot like slavery, or indentured servitude at best.

Can someone point out to me where the constitution gives the president the power to form and make sure things mandatory?

it starts with 3 months then suddenly they bump it to 6 then its a year suddenly it replaces our national guard and its a mandatory 2 year training. and everyone who was not in it has to wear an armband

You are very correct Tesla, this is just the bait.......Just like taxes, it was just to be temporary........Well you know it wasn't.......Tesla, let all these blind, just be blind... At least there are a few who can see truth...............I guess when they put them on a train, and then in chains, they will say you know I think they were right....

Prof, I apologise for painting all professors with a broad brush but, you MUST see this in your own academic force within your school! This is especialy true in the JUCO system. The schools in my area are buying text books that bare no resemblance to the texts that I was taught with and the socialist slant is VERY evident. Sorry if I offended you my friend.

Oh no, you didn't offend me at all. I was agreeing with you, and believe me, I am as outraged as you are about this. I should let you know, that I was in the extreme minority, and in fact, my colleagues virtually ostracized me for my teaching methods, but I kept true to my dedication to my students until I retired. Someday, I may write a book, and let the American public know what really goes on, in the colleges, in faculty meetings, committees, and administrative committees. Being a conservative at a college or university makes one "the odd man out", to say the least. My reward though, was from my students, who filled my classes to overflow. They knew they would learn in my class, rather than become parrots.

Well said my friend. This in my opinion is true thinking. I agree and now it all makes perfect sense. Tell a man he HAS to go to war most likely he will oppose, tell a man to help his community and you may get what you want. I think this is indeed a highly complex facade to re-institute the draft. I was reading a year ago or so probably here on ATS that if the draft started again most likely it would be 18-34 year olds to go 1st, if I remember correctly. Well if that is the case 18-25 is close enough. This is very disturbing and from my experiences in life normally when a "rumor" like this is started and continues for any given amount of time it generally comes to fruition eventually in some form or another. Truly God Bless us all!! On a quick side note anyone that can recommend a good defensive firearm to protect house and home? Thanks in advance..

No man , I don't mean they're gay that has nothing to do with it. By now MOST of us should have a good gauge of what the truth is if you've looked hard enough. Maybe you're right "Agent" would imply willing Disinfo. I think "Sheep" maybe should have been used... possibly deaf , dumb , blind or a combination of the 3.

Can someone smarter than me pls explain the difference in Obama's "civilian" defense force and a military defense force? Once you arm a large group, don't they basically become a military force? - If thats true, then he's is calling for another entire military force - what am I missing here? Is one not enough?
