Please read the U2U below:

???????? buddy!!

Long time no u2u...hope all is well.

First off - forgive the 'vibe' of this u2u as I am quite baked...

I had an idea for a thread that I think would be fun for all members of ATS...

It would be a thread that allowed members to post "classic quotes"...or more to the point - a place to post funny, provocative, enlightening, ect...posts from other members that garners more attention...

It would obviously be an "open thread" for good as it hsould be a thread that evolves with the site...I can't recall just how many awesome quotes have come from the members here - from all 3 groups...skeptics, believers and on-the-fence-#s....

One rule would be that you cannot post a quote from yourself - this would prevent global narcissism...actually, that would be the only rule. And you know why..? This place is about freedom of speech, so to say, "you cannot post negative comments from other members" doesn't cut would have to hope that the members would police themselves...

So there, brotha'....let me know what you think. I wanted to run this by you ('cause I value you opinion...) before I pull the trigger...

Talk to ya soon dude...

His response is mute, as I want this thread to stand on its own merits…

What I am trying to do here is create a thread that allows members to post “classic quotes” from other ATS members…
There have been so many intelligent and witty comments on this site that I couldn’t possibly keep track of a fraction of them – but if the members here go out of their way to post quotes worthy of a second look, I and many others will have the opportunity to view them.

As discussed in the above U2U, these quotes should have content that warrants attention; though I cannot prevent members from using the thread to promote their own agenda, I think the members of this site will police it accordingly, as they always do…

These quotes can come from any forum and date…but they just can’t come from yourself. This should prevent any abuse of bandwidth…please link the thread that the quote comes from as well (due diligence is always a good thing). I am hoping quotes from both ATS and BTS are shared here as each have visitors from both sides of the fence.

The one thing that I ask and seems necessary to the integrity of this thread, is that you share a brief comment regarding the quote you posted…this will give insight as to why you found it so profound, funny, ect…
This does two things – it starts the conversation off and even more importantly, it ensures that the member posting the quote isn’t anonymously promoting their own agenda…transparency is necessary...this is just a spot for kick ass comments from ATS members and nothing more.

Also, try to set up the quote with a brief description if possible...

I will start it off with a rather recent post (there were quite a few ‘old’ posts that came close, but since I was a member and following the thread at the time, it had more of an impact on me…the topic was Planet X and we all know how comical this topic can be, but the following post from defcon5 was classic big time! Not only did he utilize an image that just plain RUINED the thread, but the sarcasm and creativeness of it in so little words, was second to none IMO.

I don't believe the OP ever responded, and no wonder...!

O' ya...feel free to title your link with anything witty...I tried above - but only time will tell...

Have fun and enjoy!!

I wanted to be the first to say this is quite refreshing sir!!! A star and flag for you and given the recent election threads and other potpurri that seems to garner the board these days. At this time I cannot post a memorable quote because I have not viewed one yet, oh but I will..Good work in trying to bring a little levity to the site..

Eh eh eh

I will post one quote that i've loved: it's from tep200377: it's regarding some alleged NASA airbrushing on some Moon images

I just loved this one, where Blaine91555 has strong feelings about crap - and politicians:

Half of what CNN, CBS, ABC is also crap.
Most of what MSNBC puts out is pure crap.
The newspapers are piles of Partisan crap.
Most Blogs are crap.
ATS has more than its share of crap.
AM Radio has multitudes of crap.
Politicians are composed of a special kind of concentrated crap.

Just means we have to dig through a lot of crap to get facts. I wear my mental hip-waders and dive in. Crap washes off.

If not for crap, we would have nothing to talk about. Is that what you are really saying?

One of my favorites is from page 1 of the "Would you Join the Illuminati Thread" started by Spooky Fox Mulder.

In response to the OP's question mcmartinson said:

I just checked the Illuminati job boards and it seems like they currently have open positions for:

Assistant to the second assistant puppetmaster
Someone 6'2-6'5 who can fit into a giant Owl outfit
Limousine driver for the minister of disinformation
Mass media exploitation and propaganda
Internet mass marketting and subliminal spam email production
Extreme information extraction specialists - req. waterboarding experience
Special event party planner / ritual sacrifice preparation expert
Executive coin flipper
Clowns and trapeeze artists for yearly Bohemian Grove festival
Makeup artist with experience in Reptilian skin
Ambassador to planet Zzlgorg

Jump on them if you want to join in the fun. Illuminati, LLC is waiting for you to join the ranks of the global elite overlords. Yes, I had to have a little fun with this post. Please don't hurt me - only wanted to bring a few smiles to some of you.

THanks for sharing more nice quotes

Two more that come to mind, both regarding the same thread, based on this photo, claimed (in the OP) to show some alien: for more informations, please visit the thread Possible Brown ET Picture, Speilberg Got it RIght

"enhancement" by the op

Quote # 1, by RiotComing

I laughed my head off when I saw that first picture. Now, if that pic was real, would you think it would be a genuine human reaction to laugh at the sight of an alien? I would doubt it. My gut reaction is that someone is having their little joke with ATS once again.

Quote # 2, by Blaine91555, in response to this post by the OP, same thread:

I plan on retiring on what I've earned just on this thread alone. You have no idea how hard it was to alter your original photo to make it look like an ordinary back yard and crack your security to delete your picture and replace it.
My "Military Logic" tells me that this job is done. It is Miller Time!
Look, nobody is doing anything other than looking at a picture of your back yard with nothing in it other than bushes and grass. If you honestly think something is there ( a concept I'm not ready to buy into) install some yard lights.

As soon as I read this quote from NuclearPaul, I just knew it would be perfect for this. Culled from a thread regarding an apparently incoming asteroid, channeled by Native Americans and remote-viewed by "Zeta and Other Stargazers" (') :

As a believer in almost everything, I must say that for some reason, I just don't buy this.

It was hilarious in the context of the thread, and it is so perfectly suited for a number of discussions on ATS.

Edit to add: internos, the two photos are fantastic
. Nice find!

It's pretty long but I like this one:

you're kidding, right? please God let this be a joke...

theres honestly over one page full of posts over this? in that case i've got the next big assinine discovery in the conspiricy world that has to be taken on faith. Check it out:

fish men. human sized fish men. they dress up like reptilians just to screw with icke's head. their everywhere and you're all too blind to see it. Why cant you look past the false problem of the reptilians?!? cant you see it's all a careful plan by the fish men???

and before you ask for proof think about this: what proof can any of you find that there AREN'T any fish men? none i bet, so they must be out there.

also the fishmen have lazer eyes. yea, thats right, lazer eyes. so just keep that in mind

i tried resarching it once. i really did. but i had to stop when my ears started bleeding from the high frequency stupidity

and before you start bashing fish mens looks you should do some research of your own. fish men are hot. well, the girl fish men at least.

also, i dunno if i mentined this earlier or not but fish men know when you're insulting their physical apearence, and it ofends them. you dont wanna insult fish men; keeping in mind that they have lazers for eyes

This is one I found yesterday at work.

The Title is misleading as hell and the quote from DeafPosttrib doesn’t really shead any light on the subject either but instead left me and everyone else speechless.

In any case it made me laugh pretty hard as my mind tried desperately to grasp the lengths that conspiracy theorists will go.

Obama's back hair -pentagram

There that should do it.

anyway this post had me laughing all day.

For me because of the truth of the quote,

On the most important event since world war 2 and the reaction to it he highlights it against,

His honesty of the Debunking and sceptical behaviour we all show on different topics based on our interests and belief systems,

And the topic it was posted in , in which I totally agree with him, I cant get too involved with it because of the horrendous nature of the research, dangers and thought of some type of living bits of wire invading my body!

From Sunsetspawn as my current Sig in thread:

Morgellon's Identified

I'll be perfectly honest. This is one of those topics that I absolutely HAVE to ignore.

I flagged it, yes, as it is important. As for myself, I just can't get too involved.

Just like many people resist or ignore 911 because they can't handle it, I'm ignoring this.

At least I'm honest about it and I haven't started debunking irrationally.

A gem with much truth about ATS, psychology and dangers of the modern world.

Kind Regards,

That’s to bad I figured this thread would have more replies, I wonder why.

Threads like this are a welcome relief from the heaver issues on this site.
I think it should get more attention it’s kind of like casual Friday or wacky tie day, and yet everyone on ATS seems to lack a sense of humor.

Well I know that’s not true, but then again I can only star and flag once.
