There is a gas piston conversion kit for the AR15/M16. Drop in. ~$400. Converts to the operating systems of the likes of SIGs and AKs. Much more
reliable with the gas piston kit, and rarely have to clean.
If you want a REAL gun, that has reliability of AK and accuracy of M16, go with the SIG 556. Pricey but well worth it.

As long as folks continue to blame everything from wars to hang nails on racism, we will continue to have racism. The best way to end racism is to
focus on the positive and stop wallowing in the negative. People who constantly use the race card are only undermining the movement to end racism.

I would put fear of a black president at the bottom of the list of reasons I would want an assault rifle.
Number 1, as most people are saying, would be because it's a right that we might not have forever at the rate things are going.
Number 2 would be because America's clout in this world seems to be decreasing, and I'll probably outlive our seeming military invincibility.
Number 3 would be because my fellow citizens are getting whackier every election, and I'm starting to think that they'll actually start hurting one
another next time if things get any worse.
But worrying about jackbooted G-men coming to my house to pay me back in spades for the sins of my great great grandfathers? One, it ain't gonna
happen, and Two, if the time does come that I need a rifle for that, there'll be plenty of 'em layin' on the ground. It's really not even a
consideration.

I think there is more chance of a zombie epidemic breaking out
in America than there is of Obama turning the American Military
into a retribution machine.
But then again, stranger things have happened.

Stranger things than a zombie attack? That is what your post seems to imply.
Not to be contrary but I'd just be very very shocked if the US military was willing to become some kind of ultra liberal anti-white S.A.
I served with these people- they don't strike me as the sort to commit genocide. It's one of the few crimes that I'm completely certain that our
military would not commit against our own people.

Amen!
I will arm myself, (once I get some money saved, cuz im broke...hmm imagine that...thanks Bush! ) but not because I am scared of a specific
skin color. (which for the record I am not) I will do it to protect myself from ANYONE trying to harm me. I dont care if there is a african american,
caucasian, asian, and hispanic trying to get in my place, they will all have the same percentage of getting shot first.
Plus, I will arm myself for fear of the so called 'government' we have in place today.

It's funny to think that from the very beginning gun control has been racist. The white powers that be didnt like the newly freed blacks defending
themselves so all sorts of legislation was proposed from banning inexpensive ars, to banning non-land owner gun ownership to banning people with
criminal records from ownership (running for freedom was criminal) etc...
I have no doubt there is a group of people out there right now buying into what this academic says (I promise he's not the only one who believes
this) and working on a way to spin it in favor of legislation to restrict and control firearms. At the very least in the years to come this academic
and his mouth will have altered the perception of gun owners in the eyes of many ignorants.
It just takes a large enough clump of stupidity to pass a law making an entire segment of the population criminals. Clinton did it in '94 despite
many of the supporters being open and honest about having no idea as to what they were actually banning and why. A group of ignorants made an entire
segment of the population criminals for a decade.

I have a Mak-90 with an AK-47 Receiver. I also have lots and lots and lots of magazines and ammo for it. I will gladly introduce it to anyone who
tries to take it away from me.

Let me be one to say that, as an Obama, supporter (though I didn't vote for him for certain reasons), I do agree that that kind of reasoning is
nonsense.
I think people are buying all these guns because:
A. They are worried they won't be able to buy them for long. A fear I don't necessarily buy into, but that's just me. I may be a liberal but I
don't believe in gun control. I'm not necessarily sure what Obama is going to do about that.
B. A whole heck of a lot of people, whether they be conservative or liberal, are really worried it's gonna hit the fan here really soon. I hate
guns. I hate what they represent. I hate the artificial sense of power they give people (the idea that someone who has one subconsciously can't
wait to use it almost wishing for the opportunity. That only applies to SOME people). But I myself have seriously been contemplating getting one.
So I think it was very irresponsible and a bit insulting for him to insinuate that people are buying guns solely to arm themselves against a black
man. That's absurd.

Sorry this is a bit off topic but I have to respond...
This was my absolute favorite part of what that man said in those videos. It was so extremely eloquent yet so simple. Glad someone else took those
words to heart.

Apparently questioning Obama's POLICIES is considered racist? God people are stupid! What scares me the most is that this person is supposed to be an
EDUCATOR. I think he should stick to his job and educate, and not become an INCITER.

Hey maybe I hate white people, because after 9/11 I started buying up guns like crazy, and if I remember right good ole Bush was in office. Americans
are not stupid people. If there is a rush on guns, chances are it has more to do with the bailout bill and the fascist government regulation of the
private sector, rather than a black president.
Does that mean all my black friends are scared of black people too?? More and more minorities are buying guns right now. It ain't just "WHITEY"
anymore.
Maybe its time for Washington to wake the hell up!

Here is what gets me if I may. This present election is consistent with the fraud that took place in 2000 and 2004 with a twist. This present election
I fear from what I am finding is designed to bring forth martial law. One of the best ways? Play on white America's fear of African Americans.
Imagine if Barack is found out for certain in the supreme court not to be a legal citizen of the USA and they use that as a means to disqualify him?
African Americans would be pissed that this seemingly great achievement has been undone by a a mere technicality that somehow went...un-noticed....?
Flip it around another way for a moment, they find he isn't a natural born us citizen and fix a new amendment to allow him to remain as prez, and the
white Americans that already have a hatred for him being president, well they flip because they say hey we finally found something on his ass lets get
him out now.
Now imagine the same scenario but it going like this due to some hidden executive orders..Bush refuses to step down...now everybody goes off!
Everybody wants him out.... It seems the purpose of the Bush administration was to make us feel so bad by running this government into the ground that
we would welcome .. any change that seemed to be new and progressive. This is called manufacturing consent. Instead of them hitting us over the head,
we hit ourselves over the head!
My point is this situation is designed if we're not careful to pit all of us against each other. White America, and African Americans have a common
enemy it isn't each other they have used race issues to divide and conquer us and make slaves out of us all. Please lets not buy into this move as
America has so many times in the past they are counting on that "hatred" because you have proven to them that that hatred is so predictable and
dependable. We have to stop that, all of us on both sides.
Lock and load sure, just make sure you know who your enemy is this time around. While we have been shooting at each other the real enemy has been free
to roam and figure out another way to knock us all in the head from another angle.
Barack has had an extremely hard and huge friendly push to get where he is. We, African Americans do not have own enough power here in America to make
that happen. Someone else did that from way up top.

Remember, guns are designed, manufactured, produced by forward thinking christian people with the purpose to kill human beings. Buying an AR-15 is
not a racist act.... buying 200 pounds of bullets to go with it on a credit card is...
Everyday in this country should look like the shoot out in North Hollywood

HAHAHA..Im going to go out and buy another one just because of that professors article..Thirty round mags are illegal in NJ but I managed to aquire a
few before I was separated from the Army. I may even splurge and buy a Rock River Arms this time..Nobody will ever take my guns.
Handguns in NJ are a bit more difficult to purchase but if you have a firearms ID card you can buy a long gun but it has to be 16' or longer and
collapsable stocks are illegal in NJ also, First you must fill an application for a permit to purchase and pay your local town a 15.00 dollar fee, I
call it a 15.00 dollar rape fee because my property tax is already 9 thousand dollars a year, Then they do a background check and call your
referances, after you are approved for you permit to purchase you are allowed to go buy a handgun, After you pick out that beauty you are subjected to
another background check(NICS) and pay another 15.00 which is added to you final purchase order.
Bottom line is its already difficult to buy a handgun in New Jersey and I cant imagine if that new guy in office decides to try and put a halt to
buying guns.

Every taxpaying, law abiding, freedom loving citizen (who wants one)needs to go out and get a gun. Black white and everybody else. Then it's all fair
and legal and so much harder to take away once we've got them.
They want to play blacks against whites because they are afraid of an armed population of Americans. Not just white people but Americans of all
races.
Id rather stand shoulder to shoulder with an American with a gun than be hand in hand with the scumbags that are emptying out our treasury and
leaving us with the bills.

That's the problem, predictability has become the power's greatest advantage. It's not an easy thing to find people's true motive but believe it,
this academian know what he's doing because there's anough pathologycal cases out there to prove him right or half-right, unfortunately.
