Got myself a cinder block house built in 1949 with concrete tile roof ¼ mile from the ocean. Got a trained pelican that brings me sushi every evening
when he comes home at night. Bring on 2012 it’s just another day in paradise.

The date 12/21/2012 actually comes from the end of the Mayan calendar. Most people think that this is going to be the end of the world.
That could be, but what it meant (from research I have done) was that there was going to be a change for the worse or better. All of us as a species
have a role in how this is decided, for now it does not look good because of the monetary system and the elites controlling everything. Think about
it, the government has guidelines that they have to follow, some are broken true. But, corporations don't have to follow the same rules. The people
at the top can get away with alot more than we give them credit.
The only real way I think we can all get along and survive is to completely get rid of the monetary system, and all democracies, socialism, communism,
etc... What should be used is something that has never truly
been done before, the resource based system. Even in the past when resources were used they were bartered. Not the same thing I am talking about.
We have enough technology now to live and survive without having to work for someone else and work to help out humanity. A single 100 acre solar
panel could be used to power all of the US right now, they don't want to use the technology because it would hurt their business. The Tylenol
company had pills that were infected with the AIDS virus and the FDA and government said you can't sell it in the US. So instead of destroying them
and losing profit, they sold them overseas (look it up if you don't believe me.)
Either way if their is a War which I belive there will be (look at the FEMA camps, check out George Green, even John Titor) people will have to come
together one way or another.

This is definitely a problem on ATS. I sometimes wonder if ATS is filled with paranoid schizophrenics and people who are easily influenced by them?
Ill agree. A guy I know fits the typical ATS profile, talking to him face to face is almost scary. I would say schizophrenic hits the sport with a lil
bit of delusion mixed in. Then again, delusion is a side effect.
While I agree things could get worse and the possibility of a civil war/revolution, people just need to stop and enjoy life while they have it.
I will add though, a firearm isn't a bad addition to have. You can easily live off the land when you have one. I have owned one for many reasons,
not solely for the coming apocalypse.

Celente just speaks in general terms and will "claim" he predicted something when some event occurred in his blanket of generalization. Of course
the prediction which is based trends will be gobbled up by idiots no matter what.
This man has been wrong on many occasions.
The examples are on the web page but here are two, just to save you the trouble of clicking.
Examples of him being general:
In 1998, Celente told Money Magazine that, as the population grows older, “Americans will be spending more time at home than ever before both for
pleasure and business.” Imagine that. You grow old, retire, and then you suddenly have more time. How the hell did Celente know?
Asked by CBS News in May 2005 to comment upon where Dillard’s planned to go, Celente had this to say: “There is nothing Dillard’s has that you
can’t find in 1,000 other places. America is vastly overstored.” Take out “Dillard’s” and sub it in with another department store chain
name, and you begin to see what little Celente’s remarks say.
"In the City of God there will be a great thunder, Two brothers torn apart by Chaos, while the fortress endures, the great leader will succumb", The
third big war will begin when the big city is burning"
Remember that quote that everyone thought Nostradamus has said during his lifetime predicting 9/11? In actuality it was said by a Neil Marshall before
9/11 to prove to the public that a general prediction can easily come true depending on the implications and interpretations of it.
Celente is using the same trick to fool the mindless mass who thrive of the fear. Nothing to see here people carry on.

It's more of a global problem, It's been happening in other countries
for years it's only just started to catch up with the American way life.
Parents want their 4 year old kid to have their own mobile phone
They want the iPOD, they want the iPHONE, they need a 7 litre SUV to pick
the kids up from school, they need a 2 storey McMansion to live in.
It doesn't matter if you can't afford it, because you have to have it!
The next problem is people want more pay and pay less for goods.
The only way you can get things cheaper is, china.
It doesn't take a super genius to work out where this is going.
I can't see how you can stop it, people are still going to want more pay
and pay less for goods. All this is happening at an ever expanding rate.
No matter how much money the government gives away, the root cause
still remains.

Celente was right! there is a huge problem because our nation is in denial, just like we were about the recession now soon to be depression.
I heard they are going to have protests outside the FED banks, find out where they are in your area and go shut the jerks behind this down and give
power back to the people.

Just face it, it's all over. We can rebel all we want but the agenda of the global elite will be carried out regardless of what we do or how we feel.
It's a shame that it has to be this way, but this is the result of people not caring. The next time I hear someone say "I don't care", I swear
I'm going to pick up my fist, and hit them so hard, their entire head might fall off.

With Obama's help, people can avoid riots, because they will be able to feed their families.
I absolutely don't support what the Socialist Republicans are doing, but weren't a lot of people blaming the first Bush for all the crap that
our second worst president ever, left smouldering for Bush to handle? It's called 'spend, tax, spend, overregulate, spend some more'. For awhile,

It serves no purpose to worry about these things. Too many of "us" (those that would even consider these situations as possible) lose sleep over
it, sitting up all night on message boards debating how deep the # is that we're standing in. If you actually do something about it, you'll
be amazed at the weight off your shoulders.
Some of us talk about crusading against "impending doom". Stop talking and start crusading.
Some of us talk about preparing to survive the "impending doom". Stop talking and start preparing.
I can't believe how many posts I see where people ask: "Should I buy a 50 lb sack of rice?". Well, if it's troubling you enough to ask if you
should, then you certainly should. Don't ask again, just go get your rice and quit worrying about it. Once you've quit worrying about it, you'll
feel better, and emanate a much more positive energy. If you're worried that the store shelves will be empty next Wednesday, do something about it,
and move on.
Seriously, I'd like to see a study on the life expectancy of ATS members as compared to non-members. Seems to me that many of us are raising our own
anxiety levels to unhealthy levels. How are we to survive a situation X, if we've been "freaked out" for 5 years before it even happened?
Enduring the harshest scenarios requires a sound mind and body. Neither of which is a side effect of high anxiety.
Those that feel it's necessary, shut off your computers and go buy your guns and ammo, stock up on food and supplies, fortify the entrances to your
home or place of refuge, dig your moat and fill it with acid, pop the top on a cold one, and wait for the S to hit the F.
Those that don't, well, probably aren't reading this thread.
I know one thing for sure, none of my neighbors think I'm a wacko for having a years worth of food and supplies stored away in my basement. It's
like a gun for self defense: I don't have it because I want to use it, but I'll sure be happy to have it if any of the "wacko's" end up
being right.
Good luck to all of us, we need it now, and will probably need more in the near future. Watch your neighbors back, and do something nice for someone
before you go to bed.

Turn back the time clock in this country about 232 years, and soon it will be apparent why the second amendment to the bill of rights was
enumerated.
It was not enumerated for hunting food, it was enumerated for self defense and extrapolated for defense of the country, the collective citizenry.
The sweet thing about the second amendment is it is virtually useless until the moment it is needed.

puppets of The bankers/elite/nwo/illuminati whatever you want to call them.

and if it doesnt happen...GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
but if it does id rather be safe then sorry.
For a person who reads things like this all the time, youd be surprised how much i laugh pretty much all the time. So I'd say my life expectancy is
pretty high lol
If you don't have god in your life, and by that i mean Jesus Christ, When you hear information like this your hearts will fail with fear, only god
can provide that joy and peace no matter what situations happen.

did anybody notice all the good stuff he said that was possible?
Back to Main Street to Survive?
"As I see it at the Trends Institute, what is bad for Wall Street is good for Main Street. Wall Street only helps the too-big-to-fails. They don’t
care about the rest of us. And we see it over and over again in their CEO pay or whatever greedy thing it might be.
So, now you have the butcher, the baker, and even the shoemaker start to thrive again. I could imagine a small shoe company and you could have people
supporting it because they don’t want to buy shoes made by slave labor overseas.
So, we think this could become a real Golden Age of America. It could become the epicenter of the Second Renaissance. That’s what we’re pushing
for."
It ain't all doom and gloom. the thread title itself is bordering on fear mongering.
