Hey wrangell try idaho, any state that is known for farming, i was planning on moving out to texas because its known for its farm land.

Yeah I live in western Kansas, and I would advise wherever you move that it has a good natural source of water. Out in my corner of the state it's really dry and arid, just a little more moist than desert but not by much! if it weren't for our ever shrinking Ogallala aquifer, and good irrigation this area would be desert!

In the end, we won't be fighting over gold and oil, we will be fighting for survival, and without water we will all perish!

I have no doubt that if we see that happen in the States it will happen in many other countries as well, England, Russia, China etc etc.

As soon as America's economy started to nose dive so did the rest of the world.

I can offer solutions , as my family many years ago, lived in extreme poverty and despite not having enough money to eat two meals for a family of four yet managed to have enough food , but would you be able to live that way ??

I can state some simple methods ...

Yeah, but if all the major consumer nations fall to crap then who are they going to sell their products to?

simple , they will have to create internal fiscal stimuluses to stimluate internal economy to give purchasing power to their own people , or maybe return to greater form of socialism

P.S , the Soviet union was flourishing under Stalin as he was building and mass industrializing Russia , while West was in great depression ...

secondly, The people in nations who lived under communism , will demand the return of that system.... thirdly , you underestimate the capability of the russian people and others who have lived in poverty , when Soviet union collapsed in 1991 ,most russians chinese, indians and other third worlders know to survive in poverty ...

unlike americans who are accustomed to be spoon fed and are born with silver spoon(obtained by looting poor nations)

anyways , good was globalization , it looted USA ,
law of karma prevails USA will collapse , as it will reap what it sowed

It's far too late to return to such an insular economy, China can not close itself off and start selling Wal-Mart crap to it's own citizens and expect to survive. The economy of every major nation is tied in with those of every other major nation.

People like you make me laugh, as if the economic destruction of America somehow contains some kind of karmic retribution for all the "ills" we've committed. It's naive to think that the failing of the US economy wouldn't lead to hardships and disaster in countries over seas.

It's even more naive to think that our economic hard times are a natural occurrence as opposed to a completely orchestrated and controlled take over. If a giant wave came and wiped out the US I'd say that was divine retribution but if the economy falls that is ANYTHING but natural.

and chinese are giving fiscal stimulus to thier economy , don't worry , and many believe that the green energy revolution is underway in China ....

if all fails , chinese will demand the return of socialist/communist system...

don't worry , I and many other third worlders can survive in poverty and will come out of it , but you americans , forget it ..... only a revolution with Ralph Nader or Ron Paul or someone like Lenin can save USA from its impending Doom , but I think americans are incapable of revolution

That´s true man, when people are very hungry and hopeless, they´re capabel of doing quite terrible things. Not like animals as you said, but far worse than it. There´s a very thin and fragile line between civilization and barbarism. That´s the basic subject of the book "The Road", by Cormac McCarthy.
