Why does Obama refuse to release documents?

Here is a list of documents which Obama refuses to release. Why?
This is very disturbing since it appears Obama does not want us to know who he really is or how radical he might be.

1. Occidental College records -- Not released
2. Columbia College records -- Not released
3. Columbia Thesis paper -- "not available"
4. Harvard College records -- Not released
5. Selective Service Registration -- Not released
6. Medical records -- Not released
7. Illinois State Senate schedule -- "not available"
8. Law practice client list -- Not release
9. Certified Copy of original Birth certificate -- Not released
10. Embossed, signed paper Certification of Live Birth -- Not released
11. Harvard Law Review articles published – None
12. University of Chicago scholarly articles – None
13. Your Record of baptism-- Not released or "not available"
14. Your Illinois State Senate records--"not available"

If this was the list of a conservative or just someone who the media does not claim to be the Messiah, heads would roll.

(1) Any particular reason why he should make it his priority to release any of these "records"?
(2) Has he been quoted as saying "I refuse to release these"? If so, I would like to see your source.
(3) Did you ever consider that he is a busy man, with REAL issues to tackle? Why waste his time CONTINUOUSLY debunking the rubbish presented out there by people like you who just won't give up and make false statements say he "REFUSES" to release these.

SO, what are you getting at anyway? you just asking because you think someone here on ATS knows why he has not gone out of his way to make public (once again) these paltry documents. OR are you just trying to take yet another jab at a man who has overcome great odds to potentially become one of the greatest political figures in the history of the USA?

I'm curious if your list is based on anything? Because it's looks very familiar to Columbo's "Excuse Me Mr. Obama"-TRUTH! & Fiction eRumor. Their list is very similar except for a few that have been mixed around. Just curious.

Umm....because all previous Presidents have always released these documents. The purpose is to know who we might be electing.

Is he so special that he feels he is above being scrutinized?


By not releasing them at the request of the media, he IS saying I refuse to release them. Some of these documents he said he would release them but never did. Sad, just sad.


Every other candidate for President was just as busy and was able to make them available. Besides, he has people for this. It's not like he would do it personally.

Debunking what? Most of these documents have nothing to do with debunking? They are transcripts and the like in order to know who the man is.

It's not false statements when he has not released them. Duh!


It's not a jab. It's common practice for Presidential candidates. Again, in order to know the person.

If by great, you mean turning America into another typical socialist Euro country, then perhaps you are correct. We'll see how you feel in a couple of years when your paycheck gets smaller and smaller while at the same time your costs for everything due to high energy prices get higher and higher.

I definitely understand the need to see relevant academic material. The more we know, the better. However...



Why do we need to see these? Unless he is suspected of a terminal illness or something. Is there not some privacy entitled here?



What's the reasoning for demanding he release these?



He has released a certified print out of his birth certificate, known as the 'Certification of Live Birth', a short form of the original, and is an acceptable alternative according to Hawaiian's Department of Health. It signed/stamped on the back, and it is embossed. You can see this for yourself on Factcheck.org and I am sure other sites.



This OP is about docs he refuses to release. This 'none' thing makes no sense.

It's funny how easily you Obamatrons just dismiss everything. The reason for releasing these documents is to get to know who the person is. Again, all previous Presidents have released these sort of documents, so why not Obama? Is he special or something?

I'm sure once his true colors shine since we don't really know him, most will want to fire him.

Well, he's already been elected...what good is it gonna do you now? Just another thing to whine about huh?

Just because every president before him did make public these sorts of documents DOESNT make it a requirement.
How about everyone quit trying to judge him on what they suspect/theorize might be held within these paltry documents...and lets judge him based upon his performance as commander and chief

if he wanted his school records released then they would be. but the idea they are not does not mean he has some evil plan for the world. maybe it means that he is more of a private person and/or it is none of our business. just because someone is elected president does not entitle the rest of us to pry into every little wrinkle of his life. and just because others in the past have given that information does not mean a thing. and maybe it is that as for the others, the information was not given, it was taken. cuz there is a difference. so, the idea that we want to know something does not entitle us to that information. some things yes, but not all.

A college thesis paper would be the one thing on that list (aside from the vaulted copy of the birth certificate) that I would be interested in reading. A college thesis can give great insights into the mind of the writer, including their beliefs and ideals.

Firstly, I believe you should change the title of your thread from "Why does Obama refuse to release documents?" to "Why hasn't Obama released these documents?" until you can provide any link, source or statement from Obama actually saying he refuses to release any document(s) in question. I'm aware this was also stated befor.

I've compiled a small amount of information. I truly only believe his health and if he was born a U.S citizen is relevant to him being eligible to become the president of the united states. what isn't here is what I couldn't find, but I would implore you to search for yourself to find out what you can. IF you disagree with what I have found or think you can do better, go ahead

Again, from my first comment, where did you get your list from? Because you completely ignored me when I asked. And if in fact you came into contact with this Columbo Erumor and posted it here without checking it out, this thread is kinda just someone elses opinion.
