In all seriousness, this thread is bloody hilarious!! Although sadly a good indicator as to how far we've come. On a website like this, the majority still picking sides... still playing silly games, still locked into a black and white mentality, still voicing their pointless opinions about their silly black and white ideals. Completely preoccupied with their egos...

Still a long way to go, unfortunately.

By the way, for ConservativeJack: I'm not a liberal, nor a conservative. No left or right, red or blue for me, thanks! I think Obama is just as silly as many of you are... just as I think McCain and pretty much any other person playing the silly game is.

I will entertain almost any viewpoint as long as the OP has done some homework and makes a case.

Maybe you should make a suggestion to have them delete any Christian in Religion sections,Esoteric Agendas,Any Conspiricy related article that has any thing in it about end times events ...or any similar sections so it does not draw us in .

Don't get the wrong idea, I'm sure no-one minds Christians posting, provided they stop their agenda of rubbing their Christianity in our faces. I mean, what am I to tell my kids, brought up as evil, devil-worshiping Satanists, when they see someone writing about redemption and hell? These Christians even hold parades each year where they nail a live guy to a cross, and men in long dresses chant and wave around a burner obviously filled with illegal drugs!!! First off, Neocon is a stupid word used only to bash as you say non-feethinkers, whatever that means.

I am a republican, I do not believe in god and I think the bible is a load of garbage. I do however have many guns because it is not only our right, but our resposibility to keep the government in check from tyranny.

If liberals are so free thinking, why do they stick to their silly notions more than any other, such as communism. Their excuse for that one is that it has never been right, but it could be.

Don't pigeon hole all of us into one group, that would be rather closed minded of you to do so.

Sometime in the last 12 months I noticed rense.com started posting a lot of anti-muslim, anti-Obama links and opinion pieces. Before then the site usually just went after standard conspiracy fare of the U.S. government and jews. What precipitated this change? I don't know. Suddenly that site started attacking groups it usually defended (such as muslims with 9/11 or anti-Bush types like Obama).

Maybe rense.com's change of positions has filtered its way here. Or maybe conspiracy thought is altering. Personally my opinion hasn't changed. I still think muslims were framed for 9/11 and that Obama is still a better choice than McCain (even though I didn't vote for either).

Nobody is forced to read threads they don't like. BUT ALSO, nobody needs to come to ATS at all.

It is obvious to me that the management here wants to maintain a diverse, thoughtful, and friendly membership with competing ideas and opinions.

I am SURE that some people have left this site because of disagreements and disgust over some of these hardline political posts. Most people don't want to associate with a group that has unmoderated hatred for them and their ideas.

The best posters are those that actually try to convince people of their position, and not bully them or ridicule their opponents -- obviously that is true.

Huge Orwellian government, unfathomable amounts of spending, bomb tens of thousands of people to death to rearrange the globe. Take the worst aspects of the liberal and conservative positions and combine them into one and you would have a NeoCon.

This IS an alternative message board, but there's a line between plausible theories and absolute insanity. And 18 threads on the same insane bigoted subject is really enough, you know? The quality of the board is suffering, in my opinion. Sometimes I feel like I'm communicating with 12 and 13 year olds... I'm glad for the popularity of the site, but I am having a really hard time staying interested... I can't find a thread that doesn't deteriorate into childish STUPID bickering with posting, no reading and no listening.

I read this entire thread before I posted.

I don't care what side of the spectrum you lean, but I miss intelligent discussion.
