3 strange childhood events

I'm talking about these events, not to tell people because
I understand that a certain amount of people will not believe
these things. That is fine. I'm posting for purely selfish reasons
because they have stuck at the back of my mind like carrying a
brick around forever. I am looking for speculation on what
you think these events were and if you have read about
anything similar that I could read up on.

I tried to shorten as much as possible to give a
general description of events as I didn't want to
write novels. If anyone wants something more specific,
just ask the questions and if I can remember I will tell.

Most of the details of the first event happened in the
summer of 1976 were from my parents. But, here it is.

Event 1: Summer 1976

I was three years old and my parents wanted to go for
a drive in their car just to get out. Even in 2008 the
town is still small with very little to do. My parents
were sitting in the front seat of the car and I in the
back with my grandmother. I was a very rowdy kid and
would not stay confined in the seat belt.

They were driving past Cherokee Speedway in Gaffney SC
and my dad was the first to notice what appeared to be
a bright blue flashlight shining on top of the hood.

This grew larger and the entire car was engulfed in a
bright blue light. Years later with the popularity of led
flashlights he described it as the whole car was surrounded
by the same intensity one gets by looking into a blue led
flashlight.

My parents made out that a Volkswagen Beetle was sitting
at Cherokee Speedway and that two people were standing in
front of the car pointing over my parent's car. My parent's
recollection was that they drove to end of the street and
and returned to ask these people what they saw, but they
were gone.

My recollection was looking out the side car window at the
light in amazement and glancing back at my grandmother whom
appeared frozen with her mouth open. I saw what appeared to
be a glowing blue ooze coming down around the car and remember
pulling the latch of the door and stepping out. If my parent's
recollection is correct I should have fallen out onto the road
while they traveled 20-25mph. That is all I remember of the
event.

Event 2: 1983
There is a small school called Alma Elementary in Gaffney.
During the summer it was common for me to ride down the
trail through the woods on my bicycle to end up on a nearby
street. This day I took this route.

As I was going down the trail I saw the end coming
up and slowed to go down the hill at the end. I glanced to the side
and saw what appeared to be a very dark shadow crouched down in
the bushes bordering the road as if it were looking at the road.
It jumped to attention acting surprised that I was that close
(within 5 ft) and raised an arm towards me and I fell sideways
paralyzed. In my vision the whirl of falling down stuck like
looking at one slide from a projector. I could feel the leaves
on the side of my face but my vision never changed.

It seemed like it was was just a few minutes but, when my vision
and movement returned it was nearly night It was very sunny when
I started down the trail, probably 2-3 pm. I was also in trouble
for staying outside for too long.

Event 3: 1987
My cousins and I were playing in the forest behind my
neighbor's house and decided it was time to go home. As
we left the forest there is a clump of bamboo that hides
the entrance to the forest. On the other side of bamboo
was a young guy dressed in army clothing standing there
looking into the woods exactly where we came out. We were
startled for him to be there as this was "the secret
enterance"

It is hard to describe the feeling but, I would say
it resembled we went into slow motion and had the feeling
one gets when they have a head cold and have taken some
meds. He started speaking to us but, his mouth never moved.
I thought something was wrong with him.

He questioned why we were out there and I told him we were
just playing in the woods. He didn't recognize what the word
"woods" meant. I literally pointed into the forest and said,
"We were playing in there." I asked him if he was friends
with Jimmy. He asked whom that was and I explained it
was an older friend that went to the army a few months back.
He said, "Yes I am friends with the Jimmy." His wording sounded
so odd.

I asked him why he was there. He said he was going to meet
someone. My cousin asked him how it was like to be in the
army. He said, "I am not in the Army." When questioned more,
he didn't know what the Army was. He asked us a lot of questions
about being kids, our families, and a lot of small stuff
that children pretty much pick up early such as our statement
of washing our hands before eating. He didn't understand the meaning
of "washing".

I told him we had to leave to go eat dinner. He said goodbye.
As we were rounding the bend behind a grove of pines my cousin
made a crack that maybe the man was retarded. I thought of asking
him something about the friend Jimmy and ran back but, he was
gone. We yelled out to him but, nothing. I didn't think the
man was retarded as I had met retarded people before and he
didn't appear that way...more so uninformed about everyday life.

Those are three odd experiences. About the soldier, did his uniform look current to the time or did it look old? Could you identify what kind of uniform it was and was this in the US? Maybe the uniform could at least tell you what time period he was from.

I believe your experiences, but I know others on this board won't. Don't let it bug you. There are some on this board who can maybe give you some insight or even share some of their experiences.

It was current to the time clothing for US military as far as I know. The only reason I recognized it was because the older friend Jimmy came to our house to show my parents and I his uniform. I wasn't into the military type stuff. Jimmy didn't seem like an adult to me. I guess at 18 he was a kid.

Well I didn't post this for anyone but, myself. I really don't care whom
believes it and whom does not. There is no way to prove these things so
it is ok if one doesn't believe it. I guess you could say I am looking for answers for myself.

The uniform was similar to this but, had some decoration.




I can get some photos of the areas if anyone thinks this will do any good since I still live near them.

Your 1st and 3rd experiences seem to relate to this but not the 2nd one.....

Those are very strange experiences. The second one seems to be the worst, with the being physically, or mentally, assaulting you. Did you have any marks from it?

Do your parents believe that all of you may have been abducted during the first experience?

Watcher777 on the first event my parents only recall a strange blue light. They don't remember stopping. They are not sure what happened. Some religious folk claim it was an angel when my dad repeated the story once for a deacon from a church. I recognized the car was stopped though and opened the door and stepped out. I asked them more and their claim is that when I was in the back with my grandmother I was rowdy at the beginning of the road. At the end of the road I was asleep. This area is a little less than 1/2 mile. They recall it but will not speculate on what it was.

With the 2nd event it was like I was frozen. I wouldn't say unconscious because I was still in the position of riding a bike and even still had my hands on the handlebars and feet on the pedals. As for marks I had kinda like a sunburn on one side of my body with a mild poison ivy type rash. I'm not sure if this was caused from laying outside half the day or what. I never went back to the area though from fear.

I am fascinated over your experiences. Thank you for posting them. I too have some odd childhood recollections that haunt me to this day. Though your experiences were no doubt horrible I find comfort in knowing that I am not the only one. Here is one of mine that I posted here on ats.
