A man trying to detonate a car bomb at a McDonald's in Italy was killed when the explosive prematurely detonated.

Independent

An apparent attempt to blow up a McDonald's drive-in restaurant in northern Italy was foiled on Sunday but the suspected terrorist died when his car exploded with him strapped inside.

Witnesses said a man, later identified as Moustafa Chaouki, a native of Casablanca, drove his Fiat Tempra into the queue of cars waiting at the restaurant in Brescia, 100km east of Milan, at 10 pm. His car contained four cylinders of kitchen gas, each with a capacity of more than 70 litres.

This man sent a letter, before parking his car ouside McDonald's, saying he would have done something against USA and Israel for the Iraqi war.

He stated that he doesn't belong to any terrorist group, but he was just mad for bombing of innocent people in Iraq.

More than a terroristic attack it looks like the act of a disturbed mind.

Bravo!!!!

I hope to hear more about incidents like this as often as possible.

Someone should nominate this moron for a Darwin award.

Fact is this is great news because a man with murderous intentions is not around anymore, and thank goodness didn't take anyone else with him.

Here's hoping we hear about more oops incidents like this when it comes to these maniacs.

The funniest part about all of this is as Bruno says the man claimed to be upset about the bombing of INNOCENT people in Iraq, so his response is to bomb INNOCENT restaurant patrons. Yeah there's a real winner.
