UK's Prime Minister: Now is the Time to Build Global Society

mobile.reuters.com

The international financial crisis has given world leaders a unique opportunity to create a truly global society, Britain's Prime Minister Gordon Brown will say in a keynote foreign policy speech on Monday.

In his annual speech at the Lord Mayor's Banquet, Brown -- who has spearheaded calls for the reform of international financial institutions -- will say Britain, the United States and Europe are key to forging a new world order.

This is a story about a speech that UK Prime Minister Gordon Brown is making tomorrow, Monday, November 12th. It is from Reuters, so is presumably a pre-release to the press.

It seems there is a clear theme these days with EU leaders calling for NWO and it is clearly under the driving impetus of the Global Financial Crisis. First Sarkozy, who is currently EU president, and now this.

It is also worth keeping in mind that there is a meeting on the 20th of this month -- which Bush is hosting in DC -- and part of the agenda seems to be adrerssing how to implement this.

Hmm, I would think that a 'domino-like' collapse of world financial markets, and the risky spread of deceptive accounting practices, would be seen as incentive against globalization, and an indication that protectionism would result in more stable economies.

You know, something about 'financial monocultures' and systemic health via diversity.

I guess, when the only tool you have is a hammer, though...

Couldn't agree more, but lack of logic dictating policy seems to be the norm these days. It will be interesting to how the MSM frames this in the coming weeks, and how the public responds.

It certainly appears that the PTB are fast-tracking this in terms of getting the public accustomed to the idea.

It seems almost more likely that the 'domino effect' was instigated to cause the global problems and lead to the easy set up of this new world order.

When it goes to the high level elites, this would not be that much of a feat. A 5 year plan and an orchestrated collapse of a couple of major banks is all it would have taken to cause the global problems we are now seeing.

Enter the solution.. global governance.

I've noticed that the kindest, most loving, and benevolent people
always talk about how important it is to help your neighbor. What
can you do to make it better for those around you, in your immediate
circle. The folks you can reach out and touch. The pain and sorrow you
can ease right now, the burden you can help with right now, this minute.
Isn't THAT what makes the WORLD a better place?
I don't think I ever heard Mother Theresa talk about grandiose plans
for world societies and global communities.

I think theres two sides to this as usual, but nobody sees it they have their point and argue it to death trying to beat down others with it.
Truth is look at humanity there were wars violence and terror long before the federal reserve bankers and secret societys controlling the world.
Anger, hate, ignorance, intolerance, greed, corruption do not have a skin colour or religoun or politics, government, gender, alliegence they exist in all of us so ask yourself who deserves to exist?
How easy is it to control six billion plus human minds? And if we have all this 'secret' information on here then its obvious someones talking, where do the freedom fighters alex jones etc. get their info?
We have people on the inside with those rothschilds and the rest and i hope thier reading this, truth is its not entirely bad this NWO in fact we deserve it and its us that told them that with our actions, people tell you that on the street by being the a-holes they are.
But then again they have no right to do this with their trillions they can do so much to help but no amount is ever enough, others like them have failed and if this NWO has been in preperation for hundreds of years why do we think its all gonna hit in the next five years?
HA HA the beauty is people are people and can be corrupted and turned and their inside the NWO fighting for us i do want this NWO stopped despite seeing both sides to the argument and i would die fighting it rather than live the rest of my life under it.

The whole problem with this is that we do need a radical change in our economic and political structure, to create stability and this does need to be done globally and Brown and his puppeteers are using this to their advantage, problem-solution.

Fortunately, they will be leaving themself vulnerable. After the problem (our current economic plight), they are offering the solution. People will accept this solution, as it is the only way to go. We need people at the helm who have the good of the majority and not the minority, as their sole motivation, so IMO, we should have the majority govern. Unfortunately, at the moment we don't have this IMO, it is rediculous to think that this will not be carried into their NWO.

People need to start coming up with their own opinion, their own theory, on how to solve this problem, and not leaving up to the people who are going to use this to their advantage, instead, we should use it in our advantage. The more different ideas we have, the broader base we would cover, obviously, everyone won't be happy, but at least it is the majority (AT LAST!) that have the say in the direction of their world.

We could consolidate these different ideas into one, or hopefully, many different manifesto's and make sure that people get to understand that there isn't only one plan to save our economy, until they are offered an alternative they will accept Brown's without a second thought.

Anyone up for a brainstorm? obviously not in this thread, lol.

Edit to add: This is the first time that the reigns of our economy have been 'up for grabs' in a long time and trust me when I say, they won't be 'up for grabs' any time soon after, at least not through political movement/peaceful resolution, they have already announced that we need change, it is time to show them, that we all agree, but not the change that they hope for.

I keep bouncing this NWO thing around in my head and I really cannot figure out if it is a good thing or bad. To me, much of war throughout history has had to do with resources. At one time the main resource was people. The more people that honored your crown meant the more resources you had. Then with industrialization the resource was trade-related. Eventually we transitioned into fighting for fuel. These days however, the world is progressing through a very rapidly accelerating technological revolution. We know more about our universe each and every single day. It is possible that with the advent of a free and clean energy (read: geothermal, solar, wind...) that many resources would no longer be scarce and with the decline of scarcity comes the obsolescence of war. Right now most wars are being fought on ideology as an example of the decline of resource protection/acquisition.

Everything in the universe has it's counterpart. Why is this? Everything in the universe is cyclical and beautiful in it's co-existence with it's opposite. One world government would become corrupt and stagnant. You need some sort of balance, or cycle for it to work. Unless there are mechanism in place to ensure this united governing power is cycled over, there is a very real risk that it would fail badly.

What I would really love to see is a re-prioritizing of humanity.
Imagine if we managed to secure clean free energy.
Imagine if our values shifted from tirelessly collecting toys before we die to enjoying our moments on this beautiful Earth.
Imagine us getting satisfaction in making sure those around us are happy too.
Imagine if all of the money spent on military operations and goods were instead spent on housing and farms.
Imagine if we suddenly woke up one day and we were all working together for one goal - individual and collective happiness.
Imagine if we were capable of collectively understanding that having more toys than our neighbor is not how to be happy, but being content and able to spend time with people we love is?

Imagine a 20 hour work week - or less!
Imagine no longer trying to work a job you hate just to pay bills so you can continue working a job you hate.
Imagine everybody doing a job they like, and doing that well instead of doing 'just enough to not get fired'.
Imagine vicious animalistic competition being replaced by a desire for that which is good - that which encourages maximum happiness.
Imagine a society that views things such as 'greed', 'jealousy' and 'excess' as primitive and unhealthy.

The technological revolution has brought about change to this world. We have machinery and technology to provide resilient crops, safer manufacturing, and more efficient industry.
Yet we continue to have starvation, poverty, stress, hatred and war.

Technology allows more productive work to take place each and every day.
Yet we are working longer work days and more hours per week than ever before.

If capitalistic competition were replaced with a worldwide desire to do good, then we would finally experience a global step-up in consciousness. Continuing to battle eachother to build a bigger pile of playstations will only keep us down at the animal level which we so rightfully deserve.

People scream and cry about socialism and marxism being very bad things, yet we are no longer in the 19th c. industrial revolution! Who said we had to tolorate evil? Who said evil should always thrive on Earth? Who could possibly deny somebody else's happiness?

We are all brilliant. We are all creators. We all strive to achieve happiness and love. We have all of this in common, why do we fight and have war?

We are an advanced society and it is time to act like one.

Paranoia strikes again. The sheer hatred expressed here is astonishing. Pure negativity and not one proposal for the future. No hang on I'll take that back there was one "down tools and walk away". Wow very constructive that will achieve a lot. The lights will shine at night and the crops will be harvested......NOT.

The current crisis was sown post WWII at Bretton Woods when the US would only agree to world economic model that they wanted (US centric). There is no doubt we need a global model to ensure that we don't go into financial meltdown but how that would look is anybodys guess. This is entirely dependant on how self centred each country is namely US, UK, Russia, China and EU.

Going it alone is not an option tough deal with it. Stocking up with guns and 2 years supply of baked beans and dried fruit holed up underground is NOT an option. We need global cooperation, order must be brought to bear on the world in a new way
(the three conspiracy words are in there !).

This is like ID cards. You are fighting the inevitable and you have two choices:
1 - negative, anti, hate it, protests and it becomes imposed upon you with no input from you.
2 - work with the inevitable but get it to work for us the people.

Yep agreed. We really need to start putting together our own ideas, decide on one and promote it.

That could be another thread.
If nobody offers up opposition, we will just get what we are given.

Who cares what Gordon Brown and the Fascist EU think. I don't do fascism and neither do the majority of people in the UK, EU and the US and the last two world wars are a reminder of that, but if these fascists want a third lesson in respect, then bring it on.
SAY NO!

Only an idiot would allow the EU to handle their finances.

EU accounts failed for 13th year due to fraud and corruption.

If only it was that easy. Not enough people care/know for a 'No' to work.

Soon, saying No to the new admin will get you a fine/prison term.

That may be the case, but we have numbers on our side and we must unite together and basically do whatever it takes to insure our freedom and democracy. Thank god our grand parents didn't have the same defeatist attitude, because if they did, I very much doubt we would be here now. I bet Martin Luther king and Ghandi thought exactly the same thing when they started out on their crusade, but as history has shown and against the odds, they were the victors.

This isn't war, it's politics. The solution is simple - say NO!!!!!

This not being a plea for attention, I repeat it here because I still think it a valid point and because the other thread closed.

Paranoia: The new Good Sense?

Would everyone please calm down.

There is an old world order, involving war and dissent, diametrically opposed philosophies holding the planet (and us) to randsome and rubbish TV.

Anyone who thinks we don't need a new world order hasn't yet worked out what the words "new", "world" and "order" mean.

We need to be free from war, tyranny and despotism. We need freedom from financial crisis. We need better television.

Bring it on, G.B.

Are you satisfied how things have turned out currently? I'd say you weren't, as you wouldn't be asking for GB's plan, the same people who have IMO, started, but in the very least propagated all this, are the same people that will be calling the shots when this is all implemented.

As for the people saying "NO!" IMO, this will never work, because we need this and now is the time to put it into action, unfortunately, they are using this to their advantage or IMO, they created this for their advantage.

This will happen, but I'd rather it happen our way, than theirs.

What I think is a heap of old cobblers is Gordon Brown's call for synchronised global tax cuts. What is that except headline hunting? Each country has it's own problems, wants to sort things out in it's own time with it's own space and shouldn't be just in it for hand shakes on the global stage.
