What is this on Mars ?

Looking at a photo from the Opportunity Mars Rover and i see something i can't explain and wanted to see what everyone else thought.

to me it looks like a Mound of somekind and looks out of place imo. could something be living inside that ? it does appear to have a round opening at the top of it.

this mound is on the left side of this area in this picture below and looks to me that if there was any life here this would be a perfect spot for it.

Its kind of like making shapes and patterns out of clouds. i could say a toaster or a bmw but your guess would be as good as mine.

I'm not seeing it. All I see is a crater with a jumble of rocks and some shadows.

Perhaps you're seeing something that you wish was there?

What exactly are we supposed to be seeing?? I will echo the rest and say I see rocks.

Everyone is seeing rocks, rocks an more rocks.
Even a Ford pick up is seen by another.

Am I the only to notice a BIG LIME GREEN CIRCLE with
various ROCKS inside of it?

Here's the truck.

I am very new here and I certainly did not mean to offend you. Nor do
I think I really earned the right to make a sarcastic post. Regardless, I
went for it. I just had to go there. No hard feelings, I hope.

I have seen other strange anomalies on Mars but this is certainly one of
the weaker ones. Interesting though and I do find intrigue in these structures
and shapes.

i never claimed i know what the thing in the picture was and since it's on Mars do you really expect to be able to recognize something on another planet ?

i was trying to determine if there is something in the picture and obviously i can't get any real help here on ATS when it comes to things like this.

Keep looking there's heaps of anomalies on Mars and the Moon, some great threads here pertaining to these subjects too, don't let the ignoramus put you off, re your image, couple of odd things there but one would need more magnification to get the true outlines..keep up the good work and good luck

To me the image in the op looks as though its a distortion, kinda like the predator stealth camouflage.

You seem a little quick on the trigger finger there. The OP did ask for our thoughts. I posted that I saw a truck more than anything the OP is describing.

So to be on track, what the OP is presenting to us, to me it likes like an overly large ant hill or a small volcano.
