At least 20 people have died in an incident involving the failure of a fire extinguishing system on a Russian nuclear submarine, local media report.

Russian Pacific Fleet spokesman Igor Dygalo said both sailors and shipyard workers died in the incident, which occurred during sea trials.

Russia seems to have been having a few problems over the last few year's with their sub's but I'm wondering just what it is that they were testing as the report has stated that the sub's model wasn't revealed? was this something new they were testing? or just an old sub that had been repaired and suffered another failure?
