I did not support Obama but I do believe he is an honest man.
He was simply informed on the current state of affairs. He now has the whole free world on his shoulders.
Anybody who does not think we are in a poop storm must have his head up his butt.
Obama does not have his head in the proverbial place rather he is now staring strait down the road toward whatever future we are heading for. He now
is beginning to see what our President Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney see.

I think Obama knew that his speech was a historical one and would be replayed god knows how many times for years to come.
Probably why he wasn't over emotional and felt under enormous pressure to keep it all together for that reason maybe?

I think this is very close to why many detected something. Im sure it was also a mixture of other certain things as well (grandmother, exhaustion
etc.).
Could be a sign of things to come. Hope not.
You know what is funny? All the times Bush sat up there with a smile and chuckles. Seemed fake at those times to me as well. Or like with an
insecurity or something.
Makes one think about the "leader." The differences we are going to see from bush to obama.

did you read my post? your assumption and defensiveness of my opinion makes you seem very insecure. you can have whatever opinion you like.
see, you're not a mind reader and don't assume to know what i'm feeling.
contrary to your reality, i'm very secure in my skin.
i have a right to have my opinion as do you.
have a nice day.

for sure. I said in another post, it is really pointless to speculate. But I thought it would be worth discussing. To see what other people took
from it.
I think a lot of people saw something a little off about his last 2 appearances.
But it will be interesting to compare his "style" of adressing the public to bushs "style".
So far (in my opinion) you got this guy (bush) who laughs and chuckles at inconspicuous times with an air of insecurity and then a guy that seems a
little reserved with a sobering message and serious tone....so far
Im sure as he warms up to the real idea of being President and has time to catch up on sleep and morn the death of his grandmother his mood will
shift.

to the OP
For one who claims to be so analytical, methinks you can't see the forest for the trees.
The one thing he had to do that night, was accept without looking glib. This was not only an historic occasion, but an election in which we chose the
man we felt was best suited for the job of handling the challenges set before us. For too long Politics has been a game of "Everything is just
fine.... go shopping". And Barack handled this like an Adult.
Sure there was reason for celebration, but he wouldn't let that overshadow the truth of the challenges he sees laid out before us. He is a leader,
and he expects his supporters to follow him by being active in our communities to bring about the change we believe in. His placement as President is
a mandate to us all to pull our pants up and make this world a better place.

He was late
His partners in crime were already on the stage
Obama was forced to take the podium,
Obama,"no, no, you can't make me I don't wanna."
You realize Newsweeks embedded reporters were told not to report on Obama until after the election, now they come out with this ,IT WAS CREEPY
STUFF,
GO READ IT,
He was very manipulative, and aware, they came away from the experience still not knowing who Obama is,
He watched them watching him, his appearing alone giving his acceptance speech,
IN illinios the lottery numbers came up 666 on the 5th, have fun with that, lol

He gave his speech a few days AFTER he started recieving the same intel as the president gets in his daily briefs. I think he caught wind of some
stuff he may not have been prepared for. We'll see this new year.

I too hope he is a saviour, But from all the reading i've done here on him the last few days i'm now starting to have doubts.
I wouldnt take all you have learned here to form an accurate opinion of Obama.
Every time i see an Obama is the antichrist thread, I just shake my head at ATS. But free speech is free speech... Even if its religious nonsense.
I think you're looking at it the wrong way. Anti-christ could very well mean the anti religion (as we know it).

I believe the reporters embedded on the campaign plane actually fell for the hype/nosis and lost their objectivity,
Little tingle up my leg Chrissy Matthews, says, it is his job to see that the Obama presidency is a success,'

I always felt that his body language and facial expressions were deceitful in appearance. We will know soon enough. Based on the people his choosing
for his administration, I would expect little change and more of the same. That explains the look of deceit and misplaced body language.

The childish fantasies, are giving way to the reality that, no he can't.
Now the dream ends and the nightmare begins,
That is what you saw on his face.
