Putting myself in his shoes... I would have been terrified. But I would never seek out the Presidential position. I'm glad he did not reflect the hysteria that I would have revealed.

EDIT: Thank you for pointing out the thread regarding the press conference, reading now.

I wasn't responding to anyone, just the fact that this guy can't think for himself. If his handlers aren't writing words for him he don't know what to do.

As far as re assessing my thinking, perhaps you need to take a bit of your own medicine and consider that no amount of checks or balances is going to contain this guy, seeing that he has four years, unrestrained, to run wild.

did you read the op? your assumption and defensiveness of the topic makes you seem very insecure. You can have whatever opinion you like.

you know, im not really into defending him or anyone, but to sit here and act like you know him seems really ignorant.

as far as re assessing my views, well, they are based on reality and what is sitting in front of our faces.

not some ideology that doesn't agree with the man that became president.

Of course, a lot of people noticed this. And I also believe that the media and Obama's colleagues are trying to spin this so it doesn't look as bad as it is.

I believe it has something to do mainly with two things. America high unemployment rate and something in the intelligence briefing, that force him to do something that he surely wouldn't like.

I know his words (two books), his associates (birds of a feather) and his intent (he has made it no secret).
Perhaps you need to dig deeper than the news media and learn a little more about the man.
I respect your opinion and we can leave at this. He is the President elect and I will respect the office as such. We've meandered way off the post. I'll leave it at that.

this is what i am referring to.

I respect your opinion of him as well, but your opinion and my opinion of the man mean nothing.

But I m not sure where or how you think he is going to "run wild?" Unless you think he will follow in the footsteps of Bush? Certainly only time will tell, but I doubt he is going to over step his boundaries andymore than the current President did.

What do you think he is going to do?

He has the Democrats controlling the majority the house and senate. What he wants, he will get. That's my opinion.

I also felt that his speech was humble, after all is very difficult to maintain a presidential posture when all you want to do is dance the night out and scream.

I liked his speech and found it to be right for the occasion.

Even McCain exit speech was very nice and eloquent.

I could see him spinning on them, but we're getting way off the original subject.
