In late November there will be a conjunction of the three brightest objects in the night sky.
In early November find Jupiter low in the southwest and Venus just above the western horizon after the sun sets. Find both of these targets now and watch during the month as they draw closer together. On Nov. 30 and Dec. 1 they will be just two degrees apart and will be joined by a crescent moon. On Nov. 30 the thumbnail moon will be just below the two, and the next night it will be just above them.
