Obama won.
Wether it was done legally or not legally only time will tell.
Will he be a good president? probably not.
Will I speak out and debate the choices and decisions he is going to make? Yes.
But...
Will he have my respect?
YOU'RE DAMM RIGHT HE WILL.
Because no matter who is president, he is OUR president and he will be repected as such. I will not allow or stand idly by as others from
foreign lands or within our own, criticize the man that holds the office of President Of The United States Of America.
I believe we should share our views and opinions on the choices and decisions he makes but personnally attacking the man and his family is unbecoming
of true Americans.
President Bush is a prime example of this.
What many of you in our country did is shameful and appalling and you should be better, WE CAN BE BETTER. I expect foreigners in other countries to be
disrespectful but when we join in and speak so lowly of the man that his own mother would cry, well I think we crossed that line.
I am not a supporter of Barack Obama or his ideas and I did not vote for him and never would, but I will be the first one to stand up defend his honor
when the office of the president begins to get undermined.
I hope many of you will follow my lead.
Godbless,
and hold strong, four short years will soon pass.
There will be a REAL conservative that will rise from the ashes
and put the Republican party and this country where it needs to be
FAR TO THE RIGHT.

Starred and flagged! I may have disasgreed with Bush, on a lot of things. But after 9/11 and the buildup to the war in Iraq he had my full support.
Being burned by Iraq and now having my doubts as to the true story of 9/11, I think we just let it happen just like it has been speculated FDR let
Pearl Harbor happen. Bush lost all the trust I had. But I still respected him as my President, and never spoke out and made such allegations as the
ones I've seen people make around here about Obama, without factual proof that is.

My sentiments exactly. Hes my president, as was Bush. I love those that now say Obama isnt their president, but called others un American for saying
they didnt think Bush was.
Hypocrisy.
If you are American, OBAMA IS YOUR PRESIDENT.

I'm sure you have ran across all the sickening racial jokes and slurs that are going around.
It is disgusting that the honor of the presidency is trounced upon like that.
as Americans we should know better.

I don't think I ever called anyone un-American for not acknowledging Bush as their president, but people still did it anyway.
I am American. And no, Obama is not MY president.
Does this man have my respect?
HE HAS TO EARN IT FIRST.
When he does something worthy of respect, then I will acknowledge it. You cannot say winning the Office of president as a black man is worthy of
respect because in this case, it's exactly what the powers that be wanted!
He won because he was black, not in spite of it. He won because the media helped him. He won because he went back on a pledge to stick to public funds
and outspent the competition. He won because of the hate for the current administration and the lack of a good GOP candidate.
Impressive? Not in the least. Any person nominated in the Democrat seat would have easily taken this one. And whomever it was sitting there, black or
white, male or female, would still be on the receiving end of my disdain and disgust because the common denominator is they still stand on the same
flawed liberal principals.

Just as sickening as an entire movie made about assasinating Bush while he was still in office? If you don't know what I'm talking about, look up
"Death of a President" circa 2006.

You could always try running for office in Texas and trying to leave the union again.
Other than that, he IS your president.

On the contrary, I watched it all, sir. I'm going to be watching everything Obama does and says and I'm cataloging it and will put it online on my
own website. I plan on showing this man to be the fraud that he really is.
Oh, and as for the quality of the speaker. Hitler was a great speaker also.

I agree with you that what was done to President Bush was despicable. But you have to consider the source. Will you disrespect the office of
President Of The United States Of America in the same manner?
You and I also agree that we don't like President Obama or his ideas or his acquaintances or the manner in which he was elected and forced down our
throat.
But by God he is President and he is My President and for the next four years I will respect him and his office as such and I will reffer to him as
President Obama and I will defend him from those that mock him or try to ridicule him for this undermines the office he will soon hold.
God Bless George Bush and I will do this in honor of President Bush who did not have such support from his detractors.
Search your soul, I know there is pride in our country and everything she stands, for deep down.

I'd never utter the words 'God bless George Bush'. You could honestly put a gun to my head and Id still never utter those words. However, I love
and admire your steadfast thoughts. I love that you are not a hypocrite. You are on the opposite side of the political spectrum in my world. But darn
it , you sure aren't a hypocrite, and that is fantastic.
The story of the United States has not only turned a page or chapter, but it has now entered Act 3, in hopefully a multiple, multiple multiple act
story. President Obama could be the best thing that happened to this country. We will just have to wait and see.

Of course I have pride in this country! That is what makes me so crazy about this whole situation - people who care more about their own personal hate
and vendetta elected a man that they don't even know what he stands for, besides "Change".
I agree that change was needed, but, my God - a Civilian Defense Force? Nationalized Health Care? The Fairness Doctrine!? Cap and Trade??? Weakness on
foreign policy??? A history of opposing NAFTA??? Plans to get rid of dependence on foreign oil in 10 years without drilling??? The list goes on and on
... I ask you, when you love this country so much, how do you respect a man that you suspect is so corrupt and evil and has just duped half the
country into electing him? How do you find it within yourself to do that without letting go your love of the land you were born?

Thank you for your kind words.
And you're right, only time will tell.
And don't get me wrong, if President Obama's ideas actually work and he turns this thing around I will be the first one to admit I was wrong and he
was right.
cheers

Do you even realize how you sound? It's because of people like you that you lost this election. I hate to admit it, but you guys need more people
with the attitude like Mike Huckabee and less like Limbaugh etc.. etc..
Don't you understand your base has fallen 5% and the democrats have inceased there's 3%. Since, so far, there have been only 1.3 million more votes
this election, as compared to last, new voters didn't make up that much of election I don't think. A 1/3rd of new voters went for McCain. The
difference in vote in 2004 was 3 million in Bush's favor, Obama won by 8 Million. McCain got 5 Million less votes than Bush and 2 million less than
Kerry. Obama got 3.1 million more votes than Bush and 6.1 more than Kerry. Not to mention the fact 11% of registered republicans voted for Obama.
I for one was worried which states Obama would flip, but he took 9. Kick out the Michelle Bachmans and Neo-Cons and the like and then you guys will be
competitive again.

He is not going to be your president or my president... he is going to be our president.
He will undoubtably surprise us all by either being as good as we hope or worse than we fear but he is still our president and until he proves
unworthy of it he will have my respect and good wishes.
A star for you.

Yeah, I see where you're going. I do love America and all that AMERICA stands for. One of those freedoms is the freedom to speak. One of my freedoms
is the freedom to think. Obama is not even a proven American though without the vaulted copy of the birth certificate.

Yes. To an Obama supporter I'm sure I sound like a raving neo-con loon. To a conservative I'm sure I sound like an extremist.
To anyone who truly loves this country and whose heart bleeds to see how it is about to be raped under an Obama administration, they know exactly how
I feel and understand.
