Barack Obama will hold his first press conference tomorrow, Nov. 7, a few hours after the latest unemployment figures are released. The main topic will be the economy.

He is expected to push for deficit spending for infrastructure repair of roads and bridges as part of his announcement, in the interest of creating jobs.

He is not expected to name any cabinet level appointments in this conference.

CHICAGO (Reuters) - President-elect Barack Obama will hold his first news conference on Friday after a meeting with his team of economic advisers, an aide said on Thursday.

The meeting in Chicago will include top advisers who worked with Obama on the campaign and comes as the president elect works on putting together his cabinet following his election on Tuesday.
