This is my first post on the weaponry forum so please excuse me if the question is a bit stupid but are there any projects for plazma guns of any cind
I just asked that myself because there are allready plazma torches that are being used for very presize cutting . Good plazma tourches can cut through about 1 meter of steel so maybe a plazma gun would be very effective

Plasma torches are expensive and use lots of power, so I kind of doubt you would be able to make it into a gun, but who knows for sure.

plasma guns would be very effective weapons, maybe in the future say by 2040-2050. but its is very hard to produce that much energy in a small space like a gun...even harder to focus that plasma into a beam to be fired.

Than maybe plazma cannons for tanks or ships and plains
I'm sure that the first operational plazma weapons will be huge

I don't know about plasma guns, but plasma torches have been around for a long time. I used to draft patterns for plasma cutting machines back in the early seventies.

I'm sure plasma guns and wpons will be made in the futur (2015-2020). We'll find a way to generate energy for them.
