Our earth is in peril. We all know it on some level, and are all keen to change it on some level.

One of the major issues surrounding the earth's ecosystem is the extinction of major species.

It is on that note that I would like to forward these pictures to you. Please take a moment to survey these majestic photos. While they are awe-inspiring and beautiful, it is hard to forget that in a few years or a few decades such sights may never be seen again on our earth. Will our children ever see such sights? Perhaps, if we can change the course of history.

Anyway, I hope you like the photos. They are all from the BBC website

And my personal favourite:

Those were incredibly beautiful photos; thanks for sharing them.

You're right that our ecosystem is indeed changing. Both the influences of human beings, as well as natural processes results in habitats and ecosystems to be in a state of flux.

I don't know if future generations will ever see such sights as we have seen in our lifetime. I can only hope that we can intervene on a global level so that habitats and ecosystems will not only be maintained, but will also thrive.
