What is the point of this post? It is a flag steeped in as much blood as the U.S flag as far as i can see.

I think the point of this post is a very good one. It is a USSR flag on what is the most American of nights.

That flag has absolutley no place in that picture.

Those foolish kids do not even know what that flag represents.

I grew up in the cold war, that flag represents ALOT to me.

Thanks,

Dorian Soran

The horns are in the middle of the shot.

Russia's flag is:

And during Soviet Times, the flag for the RSFSR was:

everything aside, can anyone respond to me why they are flying that flag infront of the capital? esp on a day that represents our country and what it stands for.

sometimes flags are set out when someone from that country is visiting

with all the news on the election, maybe noone has reported someone meeting bush or someone else

do you think there is really need to worry?

It was either being displayed by an angry conservative, or by someone trying to get a rise out of conservatives that actually think repealing Bush's tax cuts and then cutting taxes for the middle class is socialism.

You guys really think that much thought went into it that it has to be a goofy joke of an anti-Obamatron?

Clearly you havent spent much time around the typical 20 something. The same idiots who stand in university quads SELLING their Communist newspaper and staring dumbfounded when confronted with the simple question "if it's Communist why are you selling it?"

From attending institutions of higher education to being employed by several over the years these kids are complete and utter morons driven by fantasy ideals that despite real world failures continue to be marketed as "good ideas."

That's who was waving the flag. Half of the fools in that picture were most likely holding back the hair of the other half as they vomited in celebration a few hours after the camera stopped rolling.
