A manned mission to Mars is a step closer to reality after British scientists overcame one of its biggest obstacles - shielding astronauts from deadly solar storms.

This could be interesting as it sounds like first steps towards a force field and Will be interesting to see if it leads to more planned space travel.
If any of the rumours are true about back engineered ufo's/spacecraft I wonder if they will have used a similar idea to this but obviously more advanced!
