xxpigxx...

I agree...I am a Baby Boomer and went on my own at the age of 17...You rarely hear of kids today leaving home at 17 or 21 (if in college), let alone them working hard for a living...

A handout is what these 18-24 year olds are seeking...whether from their parents or the governement...

But, Obama is now the president-elect, through the electoral college and popular vote, thus, I cannot change that fact...

But, if things go well, I want NONE of the credit, but if things go badly, I want NONE of the blame...

All I hope for is employment for my friends and other Americans who are now out of work because of our government's sins of the past...

Did you just compare Obama to Michael Jackson?

Take it easy there buddy.

AT LEAST 4 years is a super long time to be bitter. You better pace yourself!

You really think Obama is going to last 4 years? I don't.

He will either be impeached or he'll renege on the Job and just quit. That is if he isn't ordered to by the SCOTUS when they find out he was born in Kenya .

This is really sad and I just don't get it, people before they actually happen, seriously, where's the common sense here?
The president runs the country but without the other powers he's nothing, the changes won't come in a day period e and believe (being an outer sider) that he'll be an excellent president to your country and it will reflect into the rest of the world.

Anyway, much better him than anyone else who thinks like George W. Bush.

Pay more attention to the House and Senate please. They play a part in our politics. Bailout = majority Democrats. Deregulation, started under the guise of promising houses to everyone by none other than Clinton. Bush is not the be all end all of our economy and politics. Not that I am defending him. I'm just tired of the nonsense around me that we will suddenly be ok because Dems are in control.

Yes...few remember that our current Congress's (primarily Democrat and still in control and stronger) approval rating is in the single digits as well...

First, you should really look up the difference between Communism and Socialism.
Apples and bananas my friend.
Your new president happens to have the educated understanding that Laissez-Faire capitalism got your economy to where it is now (see Keynesian economics for the solution).
I find it very amusing that right wing americans bitch about government but as soon as they get in control, they expand it, yet do nothing to help those in need.
Very strange this little hypocrisy.
The world is going to realize real soon that capitalism is corrupt and doesn't work.
As an Economics student, Laissez Faire capitalism is a sham.
It is based on primary falsehoods, such as scarcity, humans are rational actors as well that the market will police itself .
None are true, scarcity is created by humans, humans are not rational and as you see, the market is a bad policeman.
The only way right now is democratic socialism.
The government has certain responsibilities to its citizens, such as water care and distribution, clean air, affordable power, affordable healthy food, equitable standard of living, health care, I digress.
Humans are social (pack) animals, (socialism sound familiar), we work best when we all work together, not in competition with each other.
Unfortunately due to the american public education system, you my friend have been brainwashed and many important historical facts have been distorted or ignored. (See A Peoples History of the United States).
It is hard to admit when you are wrong or when you have been raised wrong but as adults we all must come to this conclusion at some point.
Competition brings out the worst in the human condition and leads directly to GREED, if you are a religious man, you are aware greed is one of the 7 bad ones.
I commend you for being a concerned father and raising your kids without help, but think about them for a minute more, How do you feel about leaving their generation trillions in debt (thanks republicans) and the risk of the lenders, calling in the loans(see China) and thus owning the US.
Not cool man, the US must start to live within it's means, pay off their debt, take care of their own and can no longer afford to continue down the path of debt and destruction.
I think it is men like you, that need to explain to your conservative buddies the lies and bull# they have swallowed for a lifetime.
Do you really think the Rockefellers and Rothschilds really care about you, no man they just want an uneducated vote so they can control you (see slave). Notice the chipping away at your bill of rights?
It is time true americans stand up and get rid of this so called elite class and disperse their wealth among the people. You know what to do.
To lighten this up, I got a joke for you,
How many Capitalists are in HELL?
All of them.
Cheers.

Oh wow, more fear mongering! Give it a rest. I really don't think anyone could be worse than Bush. I'm sorry if anyone's precious code of greed has been corrupted, but such people are just going to have to deal with it! Maybe someone should create a religion based on money and greed. I'm sure lots and lots of people would join.

Yeah, wow.

Well folks, there is your proof;

Obama supporters can be just as ignorant as the McCain supporters.

Now that's balance.

What a bunch of whiners, just because your guy lost you say it's the end of the world. If you think it'll be so bad just wait 4 years and people will vote for your guy. Why would this be the start of socialism for everyone? It's always been and always will be socialism for the rich. Hopefully a little of it will trickle down to us in middle class tax cuts and maybe see some regulation on the big shots but that's debatable.

I really wish something important and changing would happen in my lifetime, especially at my age where I can affect the future, and maybe this is it. Hell maybe we should give actual socialism (not the bs bandied around, without meaning) a fair shot, couldn't be any worse than this mess we have now. Unfettered capitalism=fail.

"I disagree with you. I'm mad Obama won. So this makes you ignorant!" Ok, whatever you say. Good luck with that.
But to me, you sound like the ignorant one here. I'm not the one spreading fear and uncertainty.

Unite under socialism? I think not, sir! That is why people are pissed. Not because of race. Because of his policies and connections.

Thanks pig, this is the main purpose I posted in the first place. I have no problems with color, I am Indian my self. It is what this man stands for.

The old testament does. But not the new testament. You know...the one all about Jesus that I and other christians actually fallow...cuz we're all about the *peace* loving Christ who never, not once raped, killed or enslaved whole towns while leading armies or being a warlord. yeah that'd be the propher of another certain religion.

God you republicans are like little children, the world is not going to end and America will not become USSA. Threads like these are so pathetic, get over yourselves. This is a republic, if you want to live in a dictatorship then shoot off to Alaska and form your own little neo-con wonderland. You won't be missed.
