well i was typing a reply to a post and i typed in mccain and obama.

they were both underlined red. i right-clicked mccain and it gave me McCain. i right clicked obama it gave me Alabama, Bamako, Obadias, and Obadiah. so i'm just wondering what the hell is going on. call it nit-picking but this is weird.

i guess i'm just bored and just happened to notice it

The same thing would happen if you tried to do Oprah. It's a simple enough fix, just click the button that says 'learn' and then Obama can be added to your spell check.

No conspiracy here that I can see.

Until recently, Obama wasn't really a common word. I bet with the next releases of various software, it will be included in the updated dictionaries.

Yeah, the learn thing is the best option. Just sucks when you accidentally learn a misspelled word.

McCain has been around longer than some of the dictionaries.

Hmm. That's really weird. It should give you Nigeria. Some spellcheckers are not that good to correct mistakes.
