to be part of history. To finally say, yes, we as Americans have grown so much as to elect a black man president of our country. It's phenomenal. You
can't deny its profundity. I'm rambling now, but I just feel such amazing energy. After 8 years of Bush/Cheney my pride in this great country has
never been greater.
Beautifully said! I feel the same way. I was going to post something similar, but you said it better than I could.
May he be all that we hope for.

11:06 pm (est) MSNBC live web feed shows Obama clenched 284 to 146 with only 53% precincts reporting.
The madness in the streets is chaotic. I think every citizen of Illinios is at the campaing headquarters park.
Mid-post, the numbers jumped to 297 to 146.

If only his Grandmother had made it just a few more days. This has to be such a bittersweet moment for him without her to share it with him.

The following is my opinion as a member participating in this discussion.
And the people rejoiced!
This has been a long and heartfelt battle! I am proud to be able to witness this historical moment.
Now, excuse me while I do my happy dance.
As an ATS Staff Member, I will not moderate in threads such as this where I have participated as a member.

People around the world are cheering, everywhere. Well, except Israel.
I just zapped through all Sat channels I have, and from Chicago over Paris over London over Berlin over Russia over Kenya over Japan are going crazy,
it's amazing. SkyNews, DW-TV, CNN, BBC World, EuroNews, AlJazeera, AlJazeera English, Russia Today, all German Chans, CCTV (Chinese), France 2 etc.
etc. etc.
Even in the Middle East people are happy, I've never seen something like this!!
I hope we can now tear down these effing walls between Jews and Christians and Muslims, this is one of the most important issues and causes so much
suffering in the world, I really think this guy can afford this with his multi-cultural background.

Me too! The last election I had a feeling Bush would get in and he did. But I had a bad feeling about him. This election I felt Obama would get in
and he did. I feel good about this. I really do. I feel like celebrating.
