Oh God...I feared this. Jesse Jackson is now at the Obama rally here in
Chicago and taking interviews from the local media. I do hope that what
he's saying doesn't get out to the rest of the country before all the polls
Jesse Jackson has no shame..but a lot of guts. Four months ago, he
went on Fox News and forgot that the microphone/camera was running.
The "Reverend" Jackson said that he wanted to "cut his nuts off", referring
to Obama. Now, he's at the quickly growing Obama rally, looking to buddy
up to our President elect. Jesse is an embarassment to a growing number
of us in the African American community.

Well, I voted for McCain, and I have my reservations, but I also think Obama could turn out to be a great president. It certainly is a historical event.
If Obama is really smart, he will develop a close relationship with Bill, because Clinton has been there, and was a great president. Don't doubt for a moment that the neocons will not leave as many poison pills as they can to prevent Obama from succeeding. Obama is going to need all the help he can get to pull things together. The good thing is that pulling together valuable people does seem to be his strength.
Does this man have a single braincell left in his head?
He has the audacity to call himself an American civil rights activist and Baptist minister, and then talk like this?[edit on 5-11-2008 by ashamedamerican]
In the last days on the trail, he is finishing “Ghost Wars: The Secret History of the C.I.A., Afghanistan and Bin Laden,” and taking an occasional glance at US Weekly. He reads at least two newspapers a day, vigilantly checks his BlackBerry for updates on early voting tallies and browses briefing books.

Fling out your banners, your honors be bringing,
Raise to the ether your paeans of praise.
Strike every chord and let music be ringing!
Celebrate freely this day of all days.
Few are the years since that notable blessing,
Raised you from slaves to the powers of men.
Each year has seen you my brothers progressing,
Never to sink to that level again.
Perched on your shoulders sits Liberty smiling,
Perched where the eyes of the nations can see.
Keep from her pinions all contact defiling;
Show by your deeds what you're destined to be.
Press boldly forward nor waver, nor falter.
Blood has been freely poured out in your cause,
Lives sacrificed upon Liberty's alter.
Press to the front, it were craven to pause.
Look to the heights that are worth your attaining
Keep your feet firm in the path to the goal.
Toward noble deeds every effort be straining.
Worthy ambition is food for the soul!
Up! Men and brothers, be noble, be earnest!
Ripe is the time and success is assured;
Know that your fate was the hardest and sternest
When through those lash-ringing days you endured.
Never again shall the manacles gall you
Never again shall the whip stroke defame!
Nobles and Freemen, your destinies call you
Onward to honor, to glory and fame.
