She was close to him. She was almost like a mother. Shouldn't the other candidate at least say something?

I don't understand it? If McCain lost his mother, or closest somewone, it would definately be acknowldeged by the Democratic side. He just isn't the type of person to be able to do it aparently.... what a shame.

uhm ya, he did, stating that our prayers are with him (Obama) and his family, among many other consoling and proper statements. I watched it on CNN live just an hour ago.

Yes he gave a statement.

ap.google.com...

Republican John McCain issued condolences. "Our thoughts and prayers go out to them as they remember and celebrate the life of someone who had such a profound impact in their lives," the statement by John and Cindy McCain said.

How could you be so ignorant? Are you serious?

Firstly, the quote you are referring to, is only part of the statement. Secondly, even if it had been the entire statement; to try and make something racist from it is sick and twisted.

"We offer our deepest condolences to Barack Obama and his family as they grieve the loss of their beloved grandmother," the McCains said in a statement.

"Our thoughts and prayers go out to them as they remember and celebrate the life of someone who had such a profound impact in their lives."

You've been shown to be wrong about him in this instance.
Why don't you apologize to John McCain -
And then U2U the mods and ask them to close this thread.
