Obama: I Love Rich People

blogs.wsj.com

When he is in Pennsylvania or Ohio, Sen. Barack Obama is the ultimate populist. But when he is in the affluent sections of Florida? The so-called wealth-spreader senator reveals an affinity for the wealthy.

Obama appears to have warmed to the wealthy.

Last night at a rally ...–he sought to counter Sen. McCain’s claims that he was a “socialist.”

Sen. McCain has jumped on Sen. Obama’s plans to raise taxes on those earning more than $250,000 a year (or is that $150,000) and keep them the same or lower for the rest of America.

“The reason that we want to do this, change our tax code, is not because I have anything against the rich,” Sen. Obama said at the rally. “I love rich people! I want all of you to be rich. Go for it. That’s the America dream, that’s the American way, that’s terrific.”

Of course he loves the rich people, or rather he loves their big deep pockets.

It doesn't matter how rich you happen to be because we are all going to get affected, but my only question is what does he consider rich?

  • First he said he would not raise taxes on people who make less than $250,000

  • Then he said he would propose cutting taxes for those making less than $200,000 a year

  • Then Joe Biden told Americans that families making over $150,000 would see higher taxes.

  • Then Bill Richardson lowered that number even further to $120,000

At what point will it stop?
    80K, 70K, 40K?

Down, down, down it goes, where it stops only Obama know.

At that point everone will be taxed.

So he wants to spread the wealth, Ok fine, all I can say is that I want a piece of Oprah Winfrey's wealth.

While we're at it lets not forget all the superstar atheletes, Hollywood artists, pop music and hip hop artists.

Gimme some of Shaq's wealth to make it fair, and don't forget about Kobe Bryant.

You forgot the Walton family in that list of people who need to share the wealth, hell get some of these senators to drop the cash back to the public.

I've thought for a long time that Obama had a really REALLY shady agenda (worse than McCain), but it just keeps coming more and more to surface by the days. I don't understand how you can vote for this guy. I understand people want away from Bush, but quite honestly...well...I really don't want to go into that "he really did this", or "they really did that", but I will say I don't think Bush is as bad of a president as everyone made him out to be.

At any rate, this just shows you that his arguments keep getting bent more and more. Wonder where the stopping point is.

Okay, I'll ask it again. You do realize that Obama is rich right?

Let's not forget Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, and least of all Ted Kennedy! Ted, along with his whole family, has been redistributing wealth(except his own of course) for his entire career.

Bill Gates has been putting a lot of money into charities over his years, actually I think the number was 56% of his income goes back to charities and organizations.

The rich lawyers love Obama too. They can go after those companies that survived this Democratic shipwreck of an economy since the dems took compete control over it in 2006 and sue them with frivolous lawsuits. Socialism does create wealth for the few political cronies that run the system into the ground.
