Obama aunt from Kenya living in US illegally

Barack Obama's aunt, a Kenyan woman who has been quietly living in public housing in Boston, is in the United States illegally after an immigration judge rejected her request for asylum four years ago, The Associated Press has learned.

Zeituni Onyango, 56, referred to as "Aunti Zeituni" in Obama's memoir, was instructed to leave the United States by a U.S. immigration judge who denied her asylum request, a person familiar with the matter told the AP late Friday. This person spoke on condition of anonymity because no one was authorized to discuss Onyango's case.

Why is this information coming out so late in the election campaign? Politicians get raked over the coals when they hire illegals and yet Obama is related to an illegal and no one says anything!

Also, why isn't it public information as to why her asylum was denied?

read the last line in your snippet...then you will get why it hasnt been brought to light. There are soooooo many things about both these candidates that hasnt been brought to light it would BLOW your mind!

Ya know a comment like that is sooo off topic an plainly a lash out at the OP. There is no reason to attack someone for asking questions about something they dont get. Not everyone is well versed in the backrounds of people in the gov and need help understanding it. Perhaps if you would have approached it in a more polite manner and made you point in this way it wouldnt come off as being so offensive. I agree wholely with the fact that alot of the things brought up about mr obama have been done so in an attempt to defame him. But at the sametime the things are there and alot of people want to discuss them. There is no harm in being a well informed voter and if one is at an age of being able to VOTE they should have the mental capacity to get past the bs and find the truth.
