Please ATS members look at the moon now and
take pictures! theres is one bright light and one light-red light
near the moon.. i dont have a camera, so take pics and
look at the telescope!

plz!

The red star near the moon tonight is Antares.

Looks like a great assemblage. Too bad the sun is still up here...

yes.. it was too bad that the moon was so low.. I could of watched it a lot longer.. but it slowwlly faded down.. pretty cool halloween though,.. Im in northern wisconsin.. it is a clear night.. Jupiter is still quite a sight in the southwest..

Wow! Thanks for the great tip it's a totally clear night where I am. Guess I'll have to break out the telescope. I have heard about Antares and it's incredibly massive size, but I had no idea that it's bright enough to be visible to the human eye!

Is this forum, who doesn't stare at the moon everynight.

If you are going to involve yourself in this forum, it is a good idea to inform yourself on star charts and planet alignment.

Most everything in here is a hoax or a star or a planet that people are not aware of their location in the night sky.

That being said. When we all make ourselves less ignorant to the most common things, it will equal to the lesser crap that we have to sift through to find out the real anomolies!

But the moon is awesome here tonight in San Diego, California USA!

Then again, it always is here! Well, maybe except for maybe 3 months a year and when the state isn't on fire!
